How the hell could you tell that? I've looked those pictures over, enlarged, with my glasses on and couldn't tell. -
That is why he is Mr. President of Club Polk!

Will be bidding on these. -
Please don't get into a bidding war with me!
For those wondering, these were JUST purchased on Craigslist. I missed 'em by an hour. Seller didn't know what he had... I believe they sold for under $200.
Edit: Leroy, you've been an SDA **** lately. PM me if you really want these. I want one of us to get a good price. -

While I like the idea of colluding with fellow club polk members, I don't think it's really going to make a whole lot of difference. -
You obviously don't know how crazy both of us are.
-
Perhaps not.... Collude away then

Was it you?

They sure look purty! -
It was me! Well, technically it wasn't. Lee won them, but in a strange turn of events, I ended up taking over his high bid. Picked them up last night!

I won this auction and picked them up a week ago. i ponted out to the seller that the description was for the much more expensive SRS speakers, rather than the SRS2s that they are. He kindly knocked $40 off of the price, so I paid $365 plus the cost to "Rent a Wreck" and bring them home.
They sound great, very pleased. The bass is punchy and tight, the sound-stage is terrific. The SL2000 are listenable, but I plan to perform the Inspiredsports TL upgrade in the future, as my TL'd 2Bs are definitely sweeter in the highs. -

Polk Audio SDA 1.2 TL - $1000 (Scandia, MN)
if they were closer I would be trying to upgrade... -
I have E-mailed them, the reply is from a female. She does not seem to know much about them. She has them advertised as the TL version, but when I asked her about that, she did not know what the TL even was.
I know how to tell the difference between the original SRS and the 1.2 by the interconnect connection. How though can I be guaranteed these are the 1.2 TL and not just the 1.2. I would only be interested if they are the TL's as I have a pair of the 2.3's that I recently did upgrades to, but I always wanted the 1.2 TL's. I am hoping to look at them this weekend as I will be in Minneapolis. I informed her I am very interested if they are the TL's. My 3.1's are label TL's on those, but I believe the 3.1's are all TL's. Are the 1.2 TL version labeled TL on the back side? Otherwise could I verify by the serial numbers?
Thanks for your help. -

My SL3000s had a coppery, brassy color to them. However SL3000 are also known to have silver or black coloring to them. IIRC the domes on the SL3000s had a ring around them but don't hold me to that. There are others here that can give you more definitive answers. -
If anyone wants these, I'd be happy to pick them up and store them until you're able to get them. That is presuming they're still around... Just shoot me a PM and $1000. Wish I had the $$ (or the space) for these beasts!!
-
dang....I want those 1.2's so badly....budget will just not allow right now....grr why could this not be next month!
-
Dane,
I might be interested in your offer here, more on the storage vs. looking at them. I was thinking of taking the car for the weekend. I would have to get a trailer to haul them home and it would be better to make arrangements later, I won't have any place to part a trailer where I will be staying.
I think I will probably be in Minneapolis the weekend after this coming one also.
Thanks
Cory
