Mine was 800 miles round trip from South Philly to Medford MA, but I know there are lot of fellas here who've driven thousands of miles.

My first trip was 1,380 miles round trip (Atlanta to Pittsburgh)

My second trip was 3,958 miles round trip (Atlanta to Los Angeles).

The Los Angeles trip was a guy that spent quite a bit of money on two pairs of 1.2TLs and needed financial help in a hurry. A co-worker tipped me off to this opportunity during a meeting break.

Both trips were well worth the time and money for me!

They are... the name Dan or Dave sticks in my mind for some reason. I almost bought a set of original SRS's that he had. I have not seen him posting in a very long time.

Yes it is me. A long time lurker here in Indy. John is right and has been to the house. A little small for SRS's so I went down the SDA 1c route. Plus they are half the cost of upgrading SRS's. I had fun with the project with a lot of help from Ben and Jessie and I got a lot of great listening out of them. WOW the RDO's really made a difference! I'm working a lot lately and really dont have the time to listen to them much. With two small girls and a wife I just dont have the time... I know, flame on :)

I dont know what I'll do next but something always seems to find me. Maybe some 1.2's...

I really like those rings Larry has...

Anyway thanks to everyone who has been a great help. This place is such a wonderful resource. I wish I could have contributed more but after doing some extensive searching it seems most everything has been covered by people much smarter than me.

I like to listen, tinker, listen and repeat.

Whats the average price that you should expect to pay for the SDA 1.2 or 1.2TL?
I was involved in a deal a few weeks ago in the for sale section that had a 1.2 go for a grand.. is that normal or was that a killer deal?

IMO That was a good deal. I paid $1250 for mine then did the tl upgrade to them..

Both the 1.2 1.2tl can range from $1200-$2000 depending on who is selling and location, and of course condition...

Good condition!?! Killer deal! I got my 1.2TLs in like new super mint condition over four years ago for $1500 and that was a killer dealer.

Came across these this morning and was directed to the correct thread to post them in. One of the end caps will need to be refinished, but the price looks right, even with that. No Affiliation...other than wanting themto go to a good home and maybe get to hear them at the Fall NW GTG :D

Incredible Polk Speakers!!!! - $750 (University District)

Reply to: sale-jkjrt-1879011626@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

So why am I getting rid of them? They're too big for the house and I need the floor space for another couch. Rather than have me go into the details of these bad boys you can check out the specifications and read the reviews at http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/products/recent/srs/

If you're interested in these you will want to make sure that your amp can power them (see the specs). If you're looking to run these with a Best Buy Onkyo / Aiwa receiver you'll be disappointed. I currently have them hooked up to an Onkyo and the sound doesn't even compare to my old B & K set-up. As one of the reviewers put it "If you want the power of a Corvette you need to leave the Prius at home".

The one problem with these speakers is that the walnut wood on one of them was damaged as shown in the pictures. Keep in mind that the speakers are over 63" tall and I'll be completely honest that I can't see the damage unless I stand on my tip toes to look at it (I'm 5'-9").

    Please respond via email only.

I would recommend bringing your amp and pre-amp over so that you can hear what you can expect at home.
