He had recently had a stroke and he and his wife were moving into an assisted living facility and didn't have room for these any more. They were his babies and he treated them like that.Home Theater

You did very well to find a mint pair for that kinda money. Sad time for the former owner, but he should be assured that they are in a good home now also. -

If there is a will, there is a way. But, I don't think this version of the SRS 2 can accommodate your mono amps. -
