When I drive across country I pack.
I’d rather feel safe should the circumstances arise than the other what if.

Personally, my thoughts are your trip will be uneventful just going by the percentages.

Think of it as an adventure with surprises and danger…. 😳

    Bad bad advice!

Damn, I wish I had read this before now. You coulda brung me a sh*rt-b*rr*l A*-!5 from Palmetto LOL.

Seriously, don't even think of this, especially in NYC (although the DA there likes ROR and cashless bail so you won't ever hear that cell door slam home).

It's not as bad as you think. It's worse. Just don't stand on a subway platform. Or walk down the street at night. Or during the day. But it's not that bad here. Spoken like a true LawnGuylander....
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

About a month ago my 79 year old garbage man got arrested and booked for an air soft illusion. Definitely not the thing to do.

I just rolled into the hotel up in New York. Will pick them up tomorrow...then the long trek back home.

So far, 13 hours one way of nothing but windshield time....and a plethora of bugs on the front end of the truck.

My tush is a little sore at the moment. Now it's time for a date with the pillow.

Well, I made it in and out of New York without incident. Man, their roadways.....wow. They are about as smooth as Bryan Adam's face. More on that later.

I will say, the Woodmere's are much better looking in person....and much bigger than I am.

On the way back home now...

Thanks, @skipshot12. I read that comment while I was driving and it put a smile on my face. I still had six hours to go at that point.

    Anyhoo, the eagle has landed.

Dayuum. You guys are relentless. They are still out on the trailer, wrapped up in 6 mil plastic....and it is raining.

Plus, moving these bad boys is NOT a one man operation.

I just now woke up again. 26 hours of nothing but windshield time in a 48 hour period? I'm gonna grab a cup of Joe and maybe listen to some tunes on the current rig...perhaps contemplate how the new rig will be configured.

As many of you know, real estate is already at a premium and I chuckled last night when I saw just how (relatively) small the Linbrooks are, compared to the Woodmere's.

Naw, it's bundled up pretty good and I live in a good area of town. All of my neighbors know me, we all watch out for one another, and they all pack enough to arm a small army. The radar says that it's not raining but when I go outside, it's drizzling pretty good and has been since a little bit before I rolled into Charlotte last night.

Here they are, wrapped up and ready to hit the road down to their new home...

In the pic below, look at the blue dot. This is about 13 miles away from where I picked them up. I came from about 30 miles SW of Charlotte....long drive!

Looks like the seller lives in The Hamptons, which makes sense given the value of those bad boys.
