Soldered in the 16 new leds for the meter lights yesterday and they're not photogenic at all. Much better than original incandescents a lot of which were burnt out.

Those are nice tubes. I have several with bottom getters. Those VT-231/ 6SN7's are early and most had foil bottom getters or rectangular bottom getters.
I have a pair of 1945 Sylvania's with foil getters. Mine are ladder plates those are box plates. I'd expect those to have rectangular bottom getters

I have a pair of Tung-Sol's just like those. They have a warm sound to my ears in my tube buffer.

Last night I went back to the Mullard 12au7 in the Vincent phono pre and well I like what I’m hearing. Not sure how to explain, I just like it more. The CBS was no slouch but it had a higher noise floor.
    Nice to have options.

It should work better than new. :)

My XP-22 pre was recently repaired, but it was new enough to be free. I sure hope neither X600 amps break because they each weigh over 100 lbs, and I have zero desire to box and ship them.

Awesome! Thank you for posting that review Verb. From what I gather it seems the best place for me to use them is on my dedicated circuits which I wasn't doing because the harvesters blink the slowest on them. Now I need to order one more.
