Power distribution and conditioning

Interested to see what is being used and recommended.
I want to protect my equipment and "clean" the power going to my electronics.
Looking for the best bang for the buck.

Thanks in advance!

I'm using a PS Audio quintet. Lower in their lines of PC'ers but gets the job done and keeps my system quiet as a church mouse. Run everything through it, including cable.

Nice looking unit. Appears to be discontinued now though.

You can still find them, used or demo's, Ebay has one I think. Used they sell for about 250. Nice thing about them too is they are not current limiting and are modular. Mines been going on roughly 6 years now without a hiccup.

A friend of mine that works at a local HiFi store recommended the Furman Elite 15pfi. Said it is the best value in the store.

$2,500 though. That's a tough pill to swallow.

Especially when you think about what kind of speakers you could buy for that.

Everything I've been reading points to PS Audio being the "endgame" when it comes to legit power distribution/conditioning/regeneration.

Reference. Not the elite. I think that’s what the other poster was suggesting.

I’ve been on the lookout, if I find one I’ll nab it.

@Joey_V Audio Advisor has an open box Furman IT Reference 20i for a pretty good price. I purchased my 15i from them and it was essentially new.

I'm thinking when I get my new rack, installing one of these would be worthwhile and easy: http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PGNPR

Anyone upgraded their power receptacle and noticed a positive improvement?

Was just looking up guides for replacing an electrical outlet, and came across this photo:

    young-woman-checking-socket-with-multimeter-643782351-582875875f9b58d5b1b5ed20.jpg

God DAMN! I'd let her work on my "outlet" any day, if you know what I mean.

Most everyone has construction grade outlets, and if your home is older, even more sucky outlets. Just a simple hospital grade outlet should yield some benefits. PS Audio makes nice ones too....highly recommended.

I'm trying to decide between the Pangea SE and the PS Audio.

    They're both $50.

    http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PSPP
    http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PGNPRSE

Looks like the PS Audio uses polished nickel as the metal of the grips, and the Pangea 24k gold plated phosphor bronze.

Go with the PS audio. B)
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
