This is not a good winter

So every other day it's snowing, ice cold etc. Last night it decided to ICE storm the hell out of us and cause trees down, power outages everywhere.
I'm no fan of winter anymore. I once liked the snow, the cool off from the summer heat but I gotta tell yeah, I'd rather sweat then freeze.
We lost power in the night as when I got up this morning everything was out. We did however get power back a few hours ago but not the next block over. Guy behind me has been running his Generator all day long. It's one of those Gas powered Pressure washer looking models thats loud as hell.

I live in the Pocono's and I surrender. I spent most of today cleaning up snow. Now I'm told that this weekend it's gonna snow again that'll be the 3rd snow in a week.

The Louisville area got 1/2 inch of freezing rain last night. The electricity went out at 4am, trees down everywhere. Waited until noon, got out the generator, gassed it up, got out the extension cords, hooked up the fridge, and a couple heaters...ten minutes later the electricity comes back on. Then spent 90 minutes on the tractor trying to bust up/plow the ice off the driveway and push fallen trees off the road. 25 miles north of me got about 8 inches of snow, and 25 miles south got nothing but rain. I hate ice! All the trees are bent over, about to break. Now I get to spend all weekend with the chainsaw. I need a leather face mask.

Yeahp, here in Columbus Ohio, we got seven inches of snow and then a quarter inch of ice last night. No problems with electricity of down trees though.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. I agree. I am also tired of this winter and all of the cold and ice and snow. We got about 10" of snow today in upstate NY (Albany) and it is supposed to snow again this weekend.

I think part of the reason this winter feels as rough as it does is because we have had pretty mild winters the past few years. I remember growing up on Long Island 30 years ago and every winter was just about this bad.

I was outside the AM and all i could here was branches snapping, and I can look out my window and see 3 mature trees down. Fortunately they did not hit anyone or anything.

I think we only got one tenth of an inch of rain in January.Water resources let out all the water out of the dams in anticipation of a normal year.Already asking people to cut water usage by 30 percent and only water yards once a week.Gonna be a rough summer.

The family behind me Still doesn't have power. His Loud Generator is still running. He must have spent a small fortune in Gas today. Funny thing is 1/2 the street behind me is all out, I drove down that street to see what was going on. We got power back early today but one street over is still out. I saw a Tree spit in half resting on some power wires , some down and the Township put cones around it and looks to have left the fallen tree handing there. Thats strange and looks dangerous.

I wish I could persuade my wife to move away from this crap. She hates the cold more then I do but she loves it around here for some reason. I could move tonight. We can always build another house somewhere else warmer.

Got a foot of snow. Worked from home then used the snow blower when it stopped. Kids loved playing outside. Coming from Syracuse, NY this is called "February".

Watched the news this morning about the storm coming in on Sunday. They said it is too early to tell exactly how it's going to track. So it may just go out to sea and miss us. I love it on Sundays. Normally go to church, but if it does snow that much on Sunday then we will probably end up doing the rounds cleaning out our elderly people's driveway. It's actually fun to get 10-15 people going around clearing out people's driveways. Then cocoa at the end of the day.

Exactly.....you'd probably get a polite middle finger anyway. Whats the guy gonna do with no power, let his family freeze because the neighbors don't like some noise ? Yeah...not a choice bro and you'd make the same one if you had to.

Suck it up, power will be back soon enough. Crank the stereo to drown it out if need be.
