Yeah those are near (15mile) me, but not interested. Already have a pair with peerless and he's had them on the site several times. I'd give him $100 just to have backup 6500's but not worth trying to deal with the drama.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer. -

FS section is limited to members with certain posts.
Your post is a link to local CL ad so that's not the same thing even though it's the same speakers.
I just wanted to inform that the seller is a polkie and has them in FS section.

Definitely way overpriced! Even half of the amount he is asking would be too much! -

Ummmm, yes. Is that a bad thing? -
http://www.soundandvision.com/content/onkyo-tx-sr806-av-receiver-ht-labs-measures
You should get more WPC at 4 vs 8 ohms but distortion and heat will increase.
That all depends on the design of the amplifier. If it was made to only handle 8 ohms then it may very well put out less wpc into 4 and possibly even be a dangerous situation for the equipment. Some that are 4 ohm compatible drop wattage into 4 ohms because they band aided it to handle 4 ohms. Putting a 4 ohm load on an amp rated for 8 ohms makes it pull more current through the transistors and can lead to a thermal mess that causes parts to burn up. it can also send a spike through to the speakers and make them toast. Remember not all amps are created equal, and if they were we would all be using the same thing. -

Seems strange to me that the first 2 pictures are most definitely 2.3s with the donut drivers and the third picture is of the back of an SRS 2..."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
