    Mike Reeter: No reserve auction on a pair of 2.3TL's in Fl. Looks like a good "project" pair


    Zap. Those are now mine. I paid a little more than I wanted... still under $1K... but still need to sort shipping. But after missing several opportunities - mostly regular 2.3's (and none of them local) what's the difference in $100-200 shipping IF you can find a seller willing to properly box and ship. Most deals are local sale only, given size & weight. So I bit while a I could, and truthfully thought someone would outbid me. My max was quickly approaching.

    SDA SRS 1.2's on Minneapolis,Mn.55115 Craigslist for $1400.00. They are a speaker retailer and repair center and great people to work with on surround replacement . They buy and sell used speakers all the time. Not mine. Peace. D

    There is a pair of 2.3tl's that have been on CL for more than a month in Buffalo NY. The asking price is $800. Seems like a reasonable price. I know it is a long shot, but is anyone familiar with this pair?

    Many of us are. A better thing to do though would be follow the instructions in this thread to do a search for all the threads on the 2.3TL's. You will get a LOT more info that waiting for us to respond :smile:

My question was phrased as a long shot because I am asking if anyone is familiar with this particular pair of speakers.     Ahh gotcha. I thought you were just looking for model specific information rather than information about that specific pair of 2.3TL's.

    Yea no doubt. I have had polks for 25 years and just found this forum about a year ago. It's a great resource to learn and share with fellow audio nuts. I hope I can meet some of the guys in my area some day.

    No doubt there! I have bought a set of RTA 12's, SDA 3.1tl's, M5jr's and a set of Monitor 12's because of the lot of bad influences.....

    Se, Welcome to Club Polk. I will say this, I'm not familiar with this specific pair of 2.3tl's. However, If I were close and had that kind of money, for $800, I would've checked those out a long time ago. If they're in better than average shape, this is a heck of a deal!

    Look good but overpriced IMHO. Wonder if they have the SL or RDO tweeters in em.

    I would prob pay somewhere in the 1200 dollar range for em.
