I think your claim that "the amp doesn't accept banana plugs" is dubious at best and needs some sort of proof to back it up. Based on what I've read in this thread and threads linked to by this thread, it sounds more likely to be user error.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Even if you took the broken post out of the equation, you would still have to pay to ship it back to Emo. Thats the internet buddy boy, thats how it works. They are not going to commit to anything until they see the amp and determine if any fault was from abuse or their end.
If I was you, I'd take it somewhere local and have the post replaced and be done with it. I hate to say you get what you pay for as a knock to Emo, but really, did you think you were getting a top notch quality built product at that price point ? We all accept the fact that lower priced anything is going to cut corners somewhere. Live and learn bro, sometimes you have to just accept things for what they are.

I know your ripping on him for putting them in side ways however...

Due to the XPA-1 binding post being so wide, it has been recommended by EMO that this style is acceptable due the post being so wide appart. This has I beleive come from Lonnie their eng. at their company.

however I tend to beleive it can be also part user error.

Like I said I used the same MIT EXP 3 and 2 line with the same MIT bananas as well as MIT T2's and never had an issue.

I had UPA 2, XPA 3's and XPA 1 and never had an issue with any of them.

Bob you sound like you need a hug

Today I had my wife try this today when she was asking about the amp and she said " somethings definitely wrong " as she tried to push a plug in

I would make a vid but I would probably get the " your not even trying to push it in" from you Bobman judging by your post basicly calling me a liar hmm

If you read the linked threads then you would have read the part where I offered to make a vid of my receiver in working order ? I still use it to this day every day and I think the mods should take that post down and requested so based on the fact that its got nothing to do with this discussion

So I loose $60 shipping . Is this the way other internet companies function ?

I know that Crutchfield includes prepaid UPS return shipping labels for purchases. However, I have found this to be the exception. Generally, whoever is doing the shipping pays for it.

Crutchfield can afford to do that, because while they have the advantage of low overhead, like most mail order/internet business', they still charge full retail on almost everything. Great customer service though, and occasionally great prices on closeouts.

Emo is small potatoes compared to Crutchfield and Amazon, come on PFB, gimme a break to expect Emo to follow the same business model as those giants. If they did, they would be out of business.

Just get new posts and call it a day.

You knew you had 30 days, you didn't test it, and then when you went to set it up and they didn't fit you figured you'd just push harder to make it fit when something obviously wasn't right. You're wife even said it "Somethings definitely wrong"

If something is definitely wrong then you need to stop and contact the company before damaging the amp or ruining your MIT's

This could all have been avoided by using common sense and a bit of patience. Now rather than flaming Emotiva, swallow your pride, realize you forced the MIT's when they obviously weren't fitting, ask for them to send you some new posts and move on. Live is way too short to be this upset over some ten dollar binding posts that can easily be replaced.

To be fair, I wasn't calling you a liar so much as calling you an idiot, but I was trying to be diplomatic about it. I believe that YOU believe that Emotiva put out a product that "doesn't accept banana plugs." So you're not LYING, you're just wrong. Since I owned an Emo amp in the past, and used banana plugs with it with no problem, I have to assume there's no design flaw there.

And considering you seem to have SEVERE problems with every product you come into contact with, and everyone you do business with... hey, I gotta make a judgement call. Nothing personal. Well, maybe a little.

Please bobman if you would be so kind as to fill me in on all these problems I am having and what brands . List them in alphabetical order because i have way too much stuff to keep track of

You know nothings ever said about all the fine polk rti setup I sold to members on here and how pleasant I was to deal with .I have been a great buyer too on the forum as I bought a sacd player and a power conditioner recently from the good members and have not had a single prob with

Only prob I have had here is with cody and I will post a vid of my receiver working and quotes from the threads he wanted to drag up .The other problem is with my emo so yep I have two problems dealing with 2 big chunks of ****

Sorry I meant the way he went about this not every single post in here. He has known about Emotiva issuing him an RMA since 2:20PM at the earliet yet still continued to bash Emotive and whined about how it was going to take him 3 hours of his life to make that money.
