Bernal, it is clear that you are having trouble understanding what the purpose of this thread is about.

When a VP of Polk starts a thread you had better believe it is NOT a joke.

Since you are having so much trouble understanding what this thread is about, why don't you do yourself & everyone else a huge favor and STAY OUT OF IT!

Right now you are simply asking for people to come down on you like a ton of bricks.

To recap. There will shortly be a new updated LSI series coming out. It has been totally redesigned & pictures of one of the bookshelf speakers has now been posted by a VICE PRESIDENT of Polk Audio.

I am looking forward to seeing the entire lineup of the LSI's!

I'm glad this thread has captured your imagination. And thanks for the great ideas. Don't stop if you have more.

Several have ask when the new LSi will be available. I can't tell you just yet. We are inviting a select group from the press to Baltimore in Aug. I have to give them the breaking news but you're the next to know. I'll tell you what I know on August 13.

It is only what YOU think is the truth, the fact that EVERYONE ELSE is telling you differently means that we all can't be wrong.

You are having trouble with your internet connection because Al posted the picture at 4:12pm, post #231.

Very Interesting Bookshelf. Makes me wonder what the whole line up is going to look like and the driver compliment.

I wonder if this isn't simplr trolling? Why would someone doubt and call for joke when a company announces a new product? The reason for this thread is to provide Polk with good idea to entice customers to buy the product so why would one go totally out of the subject to question the validy of the new product announcement :confused:

Bernal, it doesn't appear to be a joke, though. I'm assuming you're saying that it looks too similar to the RTi series? Take a closer look at the cabinets. ;)

The picture was posted, you cropped it, and then complained about it........the problem isn't what's being posted, and Polk doesn't owe YOU anything special about the new line.

If you want to accept the picture, fine, but if not, stop posting and wait until the new line is officially released.....no one else needs to see you doubt/question/complain/etc. what's been posted directly from a Polk Vice President.

There is no joke here Bernal. The masses have been clamouring for news of something new and High end from the masters at Polk for as long as I have been here, and probably for many years before that. I know I have, and were it not for the fact that this thread came from the top, I would have thought it was a joke too.

These speakers are for real, they ARE coming, and I cannot wait to give them a listen.

Bernal, seriously. Move on. This is the new Polk LSi introduction thread and you are doing nothing short of making your home town embarrassed. I would suggest that if you have anything else to say on the matter of the new LSi line, make your own thread. We can discuss it there.

Now, can we get back on the topic that many folks have waited a decade for?

It's not so little judging from that picture. It looks a lot larger than either of the old bookshelves.

Can't wait to see them for real, in the flesh.
And what was the original topic?
I would take a demo CD with select tracks to show off the 'strengths' of the new product.
Or if we are dreaming, 'Signature' versions with Doro's Hancock on them.

More pics (close up) would be very appreciated, Kab, you are right this was just a teaser

Might be a long shot but marketting wise, if the audio stores do not represent Polk appropriately how about Polk coming to the mass? Let's say kiosk (not permanent but promotional) going across the US and potentially countries like Canada (;):D) and demo into sound booth(s) in the isle of busy malls (only the large ones)? I know there are costs but I feel such move from Polk would benifit the company and the fans greatly. As previously mentioned, it is becoming harder and harder to find knowledgeable store staff and appropriate audtionning room. Might seem ackward but Polk coming to their fans might be some to consider????????

Have we determined it's a midrange? It's a small pic and I see it as possibly a port under the tweeter.

Yep, midrange is most always an asset to the SQ when the engineering is properly done. I'm getting quite excited now I hope we can see some specs soon. I hope the new Lsi is self sufficient (meaning not requiring any external sub. I'm OK with external sub for HT purpose but I prefer a full range speaker for 2 channels).
