Okay, so I totally forgot about these, and I apologize. I'll be in on the next run for my SDA 2's. This works out better for me, anyway, as money is a little tight right now.

    Sorry, again!

    Larry,

Received my order today and everything looks great. I'm simply amazed with what you're able to fabricate.

I won't install for at least a month or so when I find the time to work on the XOs for both my 1Cs and TLs. My TLs have the XO plates you made w/the stainless handles and red lettering. By the time I'm done installing the rings I'll have to call them my "TFLF/Larry Signature Series SDA-SRS 1.2TLs". I've attached a cool pic of the speakers w/the XO plates. The rings will make an excellent addition.

I can't thank you enough for the work you've done and your awesome willingness to bring the rest of us along on your audio journey. Enjoy your well deserved vacation.

I know this is an odd request --

if I were to send you a Seas midbass and a tweeter would you be able to make these rings for me? I would need 8 mids and 2 tweets...

If not - feel free to body slam me! hehe

    Okay,

I have opened and looked at the parts and pieces....Very nice work. A couple of questions..

What are the button head screws for??

Shoule we mortite the rings as well as the speakers and tighten lightly, kinda isolating them...or should we mortite only the speakers and tighten a lot???:o

    Larry,

I ordered a set for SRS 2 and 2.3TL. When they get here, I can forward the 12" rings to someone on your list. This would save addtional shipping. No biggie. Just let me know. It will be a while before I get to installing these anyway.

Passive radiators. Note that the PR's use Phillips head screws rather than the hex socket head cap screws used on the drivers.

Mortite is for mechanically coupling the driver to the cabinet and for providing an air seal between the driver rim and the cabinet.

Be careful when tightening the screws. If you over tighten, you could punch the head of the screw through the relatively soft metal of the driver or passive radiator basket.

DK is right. But I did send new button head screws for your tweeters if you wanted to change them out, some of the old ones do show signs of age and rust. But you can use them as you wish..
