Hardware Rings for your Passives and MW6XXX

I need to find out how many people want these so I can figure out cost, The more I run the cheaper it is for me to run through the shop, and cheaper for you as well.

Please don't muck up the thread with a bunch of crap outside of what I need from you guys. It will make it easier for me to keep track.

All I need is the speakers you are wanting to do and how many speakers you want to do as I know some of you have 2 or more sets of certain models. I would like to keep this for the vintage Polk Monitors (5jr 7B's, 10's 12's ECT, and SDA's for now.

Also to be fair I will PM the cost to everyone as the cost for someone ordering them for the SDA SRS/1.2/1.2tl will be different then say someone that orders a set say for the 7B's.

Everything will be prepaid before I run just as the Crossover plates I did like a year ago.

I will include shipping with your cost of your order + 3% paypal if that is how you choose to pay..

When this takes place I will need the help of some of you for measurements for the passives for some models as I don't have them.

This will take some time so please be patient..I will leave this up for a few days to see what kind of response we get.

You can veiw Pics HERE!!!!

Thanks Guys!!!!!

I'd be interested in a full set for the original SDA2's. These have the (3) 6.5" drivers in each speaker, and the PR's. Also, if you ever come up with anything for the tweeters, I'd be interested in those as well. My speakers are old enough that they do not have the t-nuts on any drivers. It's all just coarse-thread screws right into the MDF.

The problem with doing tweeter rings that I can tell is the cross braces get in the way so maybe I look at doing a button with the hardware and you guys can hot glue them in place..

For me, gluing in soft wood thread inserts in the only option that "I" would do. T-nuts do not like MDF. Your method is far superior to inserts!

I will definitely do my SDA 1C's

If it's not cost prohibitive I'd like to do my 5B's as well.

Let me know what other information you will need Larry in order to get me a price.

    Thanks

I could sign up for as many as 44 midwoofer rings: CRS+ (4 drivers total), 1C (8 total), SRS (16 total), 2.3TL (12 total), and 2A (4 total).

    Thanks Larry.

    I would take (if the price is right) 8 - 6.5 in, 2 - 12 in (For 1C's)

What about something like this. If this is something you would do i'd take 8 of them (2 per tweeter)

I would definately like some for my 3.1TL's, and depending on the cost I will probably do my 2B's and one or both sets of my Monitor 10's. Of course this depends on the cost of the rings. But, without a doubt I would like to do the 3.1TL's. This is very very generous of you to offer to do this Larry. We all appreciate it very much.

Why not just drill the hole out and use bolt/screw, lock washer, washer and nut. Unlike the metal housing on the MW65xx woofer the tweeters housing is plastic and shouldn't be over tightened.

Don't have a clue how much these are and therefore affordability, but in my order of preference until money runs out:

2.3tl (I think I'm going to keep these after all)
2 pairs of SRS (one with the replacement plates on them - need another pair)
    2 sets of SDA2 (original)
    1 set SDA2a

Have 2 pair of monitor 5jr - is it an option on those? (1 pair passive radiator, 1 pair ported) - Craigslist finds
