Re: SDA Playlist
I'm not a big Dave Mathews fan, but 'Stay' sounds amazing. That guy did a great job producing a lot of his songs. Some bands/songs that I really like, sound like **** which is a bummer.

Re: Can I fix a mark Levinson 33 Monoblock thread
Looks like a few resistors burned up, wonder what would cause that

Re: Any CPA's here? I have a tax question.
Yep, what he said. We have not been itemize in years. Makes filing a whole lot easier on the brain too.

Re: Any CPA's here? I have a tax question.
It sounds like your annual mortgage interest amount has now fallen below the standard deduction amount, so that interest no longer comes into play from a tax perspective. When they basically doubled the standard deduction amounts back in 2018, itemizing deductions became a thing of the past for many people. You have to have a pretty sizable and/or newer mortgage nowadays in order to itemize.
For 2024, the standard deduction for married filing joint is $29,200, which means you'd need more itemized deductions than that to see any reduction to your tax liability. The single filing amount for 2024 is $14,600.

From what little I know of tax, if you take the standarized deductions I don't believe it even matters

Re: SDA 1c lacks wide sound stage - asking for guidance
I would start tracing the components on the crossover since the previous owner doesn't seem to know what they were doing.

Re: New TV recommendations
FWIW, I have had nothing but Samsung TV's in this house. We have been here for about a decade now, and we had 2 fail already. One day, one wouldn't show anything on the screen. That one was replaced. The one out in the LR has 3 white "spots" on the TV that are annoying as heck. Not so annoying that we are going to replace it but annoying nonetheless.
I think the next go-'round, we will be trying a different brand. TV's should not ever become a "monthly payment" of sorts, because you have to continually replace them....but that may just be the norm now. I dunno but it bites.
