Re: You’re doing it wrong…
Not in Georgia, or any other non-inspection State. I do sometimes wish we had mandatory safety inspections. The stuff I see on the road here sometimes is scary. Broken suspension, bald tires, no exhaust, missing bumpers, missing lights, plastic bags over broken windows at highway speeds, bungie straps holding down trunks or hoods... you get the idea.
Every non-inspection state I’ve lived in still maintains laws regarding roadworthiness of vehicles. Tickets (and even impound) are still executed for inoperable tail lights, broken windshield, too dark window tint, and yes, insufficient tire tread depth. Inspections are better obviously, as it (potentially) keeps these dangers off the road.
Around here, as long as you're not shooting at other cars, it's all good.

I had this one guy power his house, using the buried power line from a light pole. He is now in jail, or at least he was, last I heard.

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Ed the SRT King and I met in PA to visit Carl. I came home with some projects....
An Eico 667 from Carl in pretty nice condition for its age. The Sony TC-440 R2R was out of a console. Ed found a wood cabinet for it.
The exterior could use a paint job. Or leave it as is...

The Sony TC-440 is a four track two channel stereo deck with three speeds, 1&7/8, 3.75 and 7.5ips. It sports a Roto Bi-Lateral Head system which physically rotates the head stack to allow true bi-directional (auto-reverse) recording and playback using one record and one playback head. Typical bi-directional record/playback decks have six heads, two erase, two record and two playback. This one has two fixed erase heads and they rotate the one record/one playback heads for reverse.

Carl had some extra knobs from a Sony.
