You're always welcome. I had a couple friends/neighbors over. Since my daughter moved away and my GF spent the winter in Arizona without me, my salmon supply hasn't dwindled much so by doing this my fishing buddies and I have something to snack on while catching more salmon.

She’s got a killer recipe for that, too, but tonight she said she thinks she likes the butter chicken better. I, on the other hand, am not so sure!

    My "household famous" breakfast casserole.

    yu3jprm9n1wt.png

Sausage, onion, green onion, bloomed basil, butter, salt, pepper, cream, eggs and Portobello mushrooms. All fresh and made from scratch. Believe it or not, there are 2 pounds of hot sausage in there, along with 16 eggs! Cook it until the very middle just barely stops wiggling and then take it out. It will finish cooking while on the stove top (resting on a rack).

Later on, oversized Oatmeal cookies with raisins and perhaps a Red Velvet cake. 😉

I do one that is very similar, so I will have to add the mushrooms and basil to it sometime!

Simple supper. Most people make this with some type of ham. I like that too, but the bacon and the fat gives it a nice flavor. Just a tad of vinegar, NOT vinegary like a hot German Potato Salad. Need to use fresh green beans. Salt, pepper and I sprinkled some freeze-dried chives on top.

Being able to use a charcoal grill is a wonderful thing. When I'm grilling steaks, my go-to method has always been a couple of pats of butter with every flip. That is now a thing of the past. My new secret weapon is beef tallow with every flip....ooops the cats out the bag. Words cannot describe the finished product; I slapped my own self it was that good!!

I have been doing the same thing, since about 3 or 4 months ago. It's a different flavor but the sear and taste is off the hook good. Even with something as simple as a burger.
