Can I ask a question?
Disclaimer first: I did not watch the Super Bowl. I didn't watch a single game all season unless I happened to be at a bar or restaurant and the game happened to be on. I have not watched football since 2016 and the NFL made it clear that Kaepernick's shenanigans and attention seeking were more important than the quality of the game.
Aside from the fact that it is absolutely astounding at how graceless Eagles fans are in either a loss or a win, what the hell did Taylor Swift do?
All I can tell is that she's from the Philadelphia area (West Reading, about an hour west of Philly) and has been shown wearing Eagles paraphernalia in the past but was rooting for the Chiefs and that's a terrible sin?
She's in a relationship with a Chiefs player, I'd expect her to be rooting for the team her beau plays for despite her origin story.
Nearest I can tell, she just showed up at games in the players wives seats and box and such. She never made a stink about it but the media and the NFL sure did.
So what am I missing? Why all the hate?
Or is it just because of my proximity to Philadelphia and the fervor is local? 'Cause, I know Philly fans have a habit of trying to create controversy where there is none to begin with and then they complain about it ad infinitum. I guess it gives them something to do?
Anyway, what did Taylor Swift do to The Iggles?Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
She didn't do anything. NFL fans, in general, have complained that the cameras are on her in "the wives box" too much. It's not just the Eagles fans. It was fueled by the fact that Cheifs were featured in many prime time nationwide broadcast games. Haters gonna hate hate hate.

I’m pretty sure it was her political endorsement from last fall, especially when contrasted with the cheers the President received.“Human beings are born with different capacities. If they are free, they are not equal. And if they are equal, they are not free.”

I dunno....she ruffles feathers when she tells a crowd of screaming young women to "fook the Patriarchy", AKA....all those old men who hang onto power and influence....aka Trump. So if she wants to send our zingers, she should expect some in return.HT SYSTEM-

It appears that the NFL isn't having a problem getting viewers to watch the Big Game..

When I was 13, I went to charm school with a cat named "Crusty Dweller" and I don't think he would appreciate being denigrated in such a manner. Good day.

LOL!!! Wouldn't that make all of us crusty dwellers? all of us have made comments that fall under that umbrella. Including the one you just made,(or crusty forum dwellers) (Figured you would. Crusty dwellers are predicable.)
It's laughable you name call, and your statement is just you being a crusty dweller yourself.. LOL!!!

Glad you saw that. Yes, most of us are crusty forum dwellers. It wasn't name calling, but an observation of people who are outside of the demographic that matters to the recording industry or the marketing for the Superbowl. -
About 75% of people aged 18-34 watch the Super Bowl and just over half (54%) of viewers are men.
But the NFL isn’t just a young person’s game. More than 60% of adults aged 65+ tuned in to the Super Bowl as well. -

Yep, that 2 minute Jeep ad was for us. Most of the others were not. -
Not a TS fan either, but I find it funny that people get mad at HER because the TV cameras show her so much. It’s not like she’s asking for it. She’d probably prefer to just watch the game without having cameras on her.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden

Two things can be true at once - she can be a (somewhat) self-made billionaire, AND she can be an auto-tuned celebrity (and not a musician).“Human beings are born with different capacities. If they are free, they are not equal. And if they are equal, they are not free.”
― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn -
She has her niche, and she makes a ton of money off it, nobody has a problem with that. Thing is, as with most celebrities in music or film, they get to a point where they believe their influence matters greatly. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, just as long as they believe it does. I don't think I have to say it, but most are pretty tired of celebrity opinions on anything, especially politics. So if you want to throw your hat in that ring, you have to expect the downsides as well and the critics who will come out of the woodwork. Being a celebrity doesn't make you immune to it.HT SYSTEM-
