I just see it as a distraction....plus you know those gold chains they wear have to be pretty expensive...WTH??? I couldn't have anything on me when I raced, I even took off my wedding ring, didn't like the way it felt under my race gloves.....distractions man, no good.

I would think that the defense would be able to grab ahold of the long hair when try to tackle, I mean I've seen them grab jerseys before so why not the long hair, or did the NFL make a rule against it, it wouldn't surprise me.

I guess I can’t imagine living a life where nfl players having long hair or wearing jewelry pisses me off :D got a lot of way more important **** to worry about

In any case, I’m pretty sure I saw a game several years back where a player got a chunk of their hair ripped out. If I’m remembering it correctly, I think the announcers basically said that’s a risk you take by having long hair, players aren’t necessarily trying to grab it but if it happens it happens.

I gave up on the NFL. Never thought I would. I grew up with Lombardi and Bart Starr. Role models with integrity that a kid could look up to. Fug it. I now see it for what it is. Greed and self-centered BS. Look at Aaron Rodgers. Now the NFL is buying ESPN and also promoting sports gambling. Wot a joke. Fug it.

Yup - I used to LOVE the NFL - Elway, Montana, LT, Atwater… those guys were flat out exciting to watch. In todays NFL they review every other play, aren’t allowed to actually HIT, and the players would rather personally look good, than to have the team be successful. Oh, and let’s not forget Taylor Swift getting more coverage than the actual game, lol…

I think they've showed Taylor Swift more than Travis Kelsey. If you played a drinking game where you'd take a shot every time the camera panned to her you'd have been dead by alcohol poisoning by half time.

I thought the half time show was well done. If it’s not your music, it’s not your music but it was entertaining

Wow, what a bunch of crappy curmudgeons.

The game was awesome, they hardly showed Taylor Swift (really confused by the hate she gets) and the halftime show was actually entertaining and reasonably good.

    Great game overall.

My daughter loves KC well Patrick anyway, and Taylor Swift, so the TV was going to be on. 🤓🥸

    Otherwise I wouldn’t care either!! 🤪

Patrick Mahomes, Texas boy from Texas Tech....I think they're all a bunch of spoiled brats. And here San Antonio is looking into having an NFL team......I don't know man, I don't think I'll be investing my anxiety in NFL anymore.....back to bikes I go....much less anxiety :D

Remember when all of Philadelphia was telling Andy Reid he was a bum, he'd never win a Super Bowl and they were glad to be rid of him?

    I do.

Of course Iggles fans deny it but you can actually find the headlines saying just that from all the Philly newspapers from the time.

How do you like that bum now?

Philly pulling that crap on Reid is just one of the many reasons I dislike the Eagles (on top of being a Giants fan...).

Reid is one of my favorite coaches of all time, combine him with Spagnuolo and it's clearly an amazing combination. I will never understand how the Giants allowed Spagnuolo to walk out the doors.

    Baffling, isn't?

IIRC it happened around the time they ousted Jerry Reese and brought in Dave Gettleman and Pat Schurmer.

They decided to let Spags go as he was from the "old regime". Gettleman was an absolute clown and did massive amounts of damage to the Giants franchise.

I lost a lot of respect for Mara and Tisch when they allowed Gettleman to stay on as long as they did.

On a personal level, I'm stoked about her involvement in the NFL.

Both of my daughters have essentially ignored football completely.

My younger daughter is a fan of Taylor and my older daughter likes a few songs, but doesn't consider herself a "fan".

A lot of their female friends in school though are now into watching football and have been talking about it a lot in school.

So, now my daughters actually like to sit down and watch a game, even non Chiefs games.

It has been a lot of fun watching them get into the game.

I really don’t know why people rip on Taylor? Including my wife and son. Not my type of music but I can recognize talent and I respect that. She writes all her own songs and donates to charity.
The superbowl was exciting, down to the wire. Don’t care for either team. But I respect talent and coaching. I wanted to see some fresh faces in the superbowl. Lions vs Ravens.
Some of the commercials were great. Some not do much.

My daughter really likes her, in fact she was at a friend's place during the SB and she said they watched some it. Something that would never happen at our house as we are not football fans what so ever.

I’m old enough to remember a time when the NFL - and the Super Bowl specifically - were damn near 100% A-political. The players, coaches, advertisers and commentators kept politics OUT of the game. In fact, events like the Super Bowl were where folks went to GET AWAY from politics.

Not so much any more… sad.
