    that is hysterical. B)

meanwhile -- Thanks to a post on the car blog Curbside Classics, I stumbled onto a Flikr member who kind of reimagines automobiles of the past (and not so past) in interesting, Bruce McCall-esque ways.

Saw this one & thought of @nooshinjohn :)

The Horsehead Nebula.....far, far away....Seeing as how a light year is something like 6 trillion miles and this is something like 1,500 light years away? I wonder just how long ago what we see in this image occurred and what does it look like now?

You're looking back in time 1500 years.
But, given that the speed of light is an absolute limit*, looking at it "now" is "now" for us, even though it was 1500 years ago. :# The light being emitted by whatever's illuminating that dust cloud (nebula) 'now' won't get here for 1500 years. Plus, it'll probably be cloudy that night. ;)

What's more mind-boggling to me is how big this 'celestial feature' must be! :|

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The mayor of the Mexican city of Cuernavaca was proudly inaugurating a footbridge over a scenic stream Tuesday when the span collapsed, sending him and about two dozen other people plunging into a gully.

The hanging bridge made of wooden boards and metal chains had recently been remodeled. Video of the collapse suggested the boards separated from the chains supporting them.

Local officials, including city council members, fell about 10 feet (3 meters) onto rocks and boulders in the streambed.

Mayor José Luis Urióstegui later said that some of the people accompanying him on the inaugural walk had been jumping on the bridge, perhaps in an attempt to make it sway.

Look at the size of the chain, that chain was severely under sized for that amount of weight on that structure.

There's 2 women and maybe more with broken shins or ankles. Feet aren't supposed to dangle like that.

Looks like the chain spans held up but whatever the boards were secured with had to be a joke. :#

The article mention this...It looks like one or some jumped to make fun of the oscillation and all it took was one jump. I just looked again...there's a guy in the middle of the span wearing a black polo shirt jumping up and down with his arms spanning the top chain. He holds on just fine as the boards drop down.

I got chills seeing that formation.

It was PERFECT and fitting for her to see it and hear them too. <3
