I shouldn't admit this in public, but I had to think about that for a moment. :#

Well -- that was my initial thought... but then I reflected on the first four notes of one of Beethoven's symphonies. B)

I had one of those Hurst T shifters on my 68 Z/28. It broke off at the threads on my shifter when I was racing someone and flew off and just missed my rear window hitting at the top of the molding around the window.

Defective shifter I guess as I wasn't that strong, lol.

    BTW, what car is that?

As far as I can tell, it's a 1966 Chevelle, although all examples I have seen have the white ball shift knob.

Our son built his mom (i.e., Mrs. H) a new bookcase and printer table for Christmas.
We needed an additional bookcase and my dump-find printer table would wiggle so much when the printer was active that I figured it was just a matter of time before it collapsed! :o

We brought the new pieces home as 'flatpacks' (so to speak) for practical reasons -- and I did the final assembly & finishing. My work was amateurish at best :/ but he's gotten to be a pretty competent woodworker remarkably quickly. :) He's built a bunch of stuff for their (new to them as of late fall '20) house down in VA over the COVID era.
