So -- my wife (and our daughter, perhaps not coincidentally) don't like spiders very much. When either of them gets... you know... funny upon seeing a spider, and hints broadly that she'd like to see the arachnid dispatched to... umm... a better place, I always like to point out that "Spiders are our friends!"
Spiders are our friends! They eat other bugs. Bad bugs. Spiders are a force for good in the world. I mean, ask Peter Parker. B)

    Spiders are our friends.

    Most spiders are our friends.

    Some... are not.

I encountered this behemoth lovely lady (or gentleman, perhaps) in the garage when I went out there to put on my waterproof shoes and wade out in the evening dew to fetch the hummingbird feeders last night.

Sorry there's nothing in the photo to give a sense of scale. Her wingspan, so to speak, was about 2 inches. :|

I brought my shoes inside last night :#

Big isn't the issue for me. It's the mom wolf spider with
all those babies on her back. You step on her and suddenly
you have a hundred little guys running up on your foot.

IMO the ladies if the Hardy household (s) are correct in their assessment of your 8-legged friends.

Give it a couple of months and soon your garage buddy will want to get up close and personal. 🕷️
    Especially in your sleep 😳

I bought a 3.00 can of paint from a Re-Store yesterday so I got to work on my Camry's wheel center caps.
The color wasn't what I thought BUT it's better than what 3 of them looked like before. I did the 4th center cap just to make sure the old paint on it wasn't getting ready to flake off too. I'll repaint them later

For a second there, that looked like the real-life cast of Goodfellas - Liotta, Pesci and Sorvino…
