I think the page flipped for me at around 35. Mind you I had 2 back surgeries by then. But at 40... Yikes putting on my socks and can't stand Up straight for a day or 2.

Sorry to hear that. The past two weeks I have had a hard time bending over to put socks on. Never had any problem before. I did do a lot of work out in the yard though. I just remembered after reaching for the Tylenol, I did take Doan's back pain relieving pills on 2 occasions in the past 2 weeks. Those pills are amazing. :) I'm 64.5 now and no back injuries thank God. I think my back and legs will loosen up quickly after a few days though. Tylenol is going to go down as soon as I stop typing here.

I know from my long life and meeting people, back problems, hip and knee problems suck. Foot problems aren't a picknick either.

Hope you recover soon. It sucks big time. I don't let it stop me. I still roughhouse with my almost 11yr old son and daughter. I go mountain biking on trails not just on city streets. I just know when and where to draw the line. But oddly it's usually the smallest of things that lead to a flare up. Like putting on socks or underwear or heck even getting up from the toilet...not being beaten by my kids or falling off my bike.

I know this isn't jokes or funny, but I just want to add this to the story of back stiffness.

I'm already now able to reach down and pet my cat while he lays on the floor.
So I'm doing well enough to build 2 more walk-way sections this afternoon. I have the boards already cut and ready to assemble.

Our cat has an old habit of when I get up, he heads to the back porch door and flops down on his side to be stroked down his spine. When he's had enough on one side, he quickly flops to his other side for more spine manipulations. He LOVES it! :D

I couldn't do it for a couple of weeks until this morn..

So out to make 2 more 40"x40" sections. I've been using the old free decking boards I pulled up after 15 years on the front of the cottage.

I threw away the Right-side walk-way boards of the cottage because of rotting. July 2020 or later, I pulled them up .(I think)

These new 2x3 spacers are really in nice shape. I'll get another few pics in a moment while I do some more assembling. The threat of rain has had me waiting to build these 2 more sections for the very front of the walk-way. I built the back 2 sections a week ago to finish the back end of the walk-way. I angled the boards to splash water away from the building.
