LOL! Not to worry. They don't kill you right away. The toxin in them is cumulative (in the liver). Like an aneurysm, just one day... POW complete liver failure! Gotta go somehow, right?

To each their own. This is akin to someone commenting about the cost of your system and asking what the music costs.

Those 3 in the top left are false morels and are poisonous. If the cap separates from the stem they are the false variety.

Those 3 in the top left are half free morels (Morchella Punctipes), called peckerheads.
    6wwubzvkpibg.jpg
The stem is connected to the cap half way up.

The Verpas have a pithy stem and the stem is connected at the very top of the cap.

    I don’t get why it’s called a peckerhead🤣🤣

...or there. Anywhere. Just not stuck at home. The world is too GD vast and wonderful to stay at home.

I can't even travel 20 miles to a historical place that no one ever goes too. Social distancing is the norm because no one ever goes there.

I'll Soak them in water (some prefer salt water) in the sink to drive out the lil critters .
Cut them length wise, spray the insides and remove from the sink. Put on paper towels to drain.
    5z3sttkktjb7.jpg
Saute them in butter for 5-8 minutes. Enjoy!66d3a05uroxq.jpg
