To compete with Dave you need to get some more colorful socks!

Be careful what you ask for... @lightman1 and @EndersShadow have seen my sock options.

He has many colorful options. He just didn’t want to make anyone feel “sock shamed” by showing them in this picture.

Completed designing/building this pair of SDA SRS1.2 exoskeletons to keep the cat off these 32 year old dear friends. I will install them in a few days after the paint dries. You can see the deer fence on the left speaker that I whipped up when we moved in a year ago! oj9ln7p2pqle.jpg

    OMG Greg,
I have not seen you post in a long, long time. I assume new house for you guys, same Triumph TR-6, cats, and the same town.

It was 2015 when we were there. Good to see your name in this blog.

Added an AppleTV and a small screen to stream in the dining room. I guess it isn't really a dining room anymore. It is just another 2-channel system listening area.

The good: I put my Yamaha K-902 in the bedroom system today and it sounds great! 😀

The bad: I did the above, because my Yamaha KX-530 seems to have gone to cassette deck heaven, judging by failed electronic response and the subsequently smoky scent that follows it. This means no more remote control and track-to-track search convenience. 😢

Rotated my B&K monoblocks back into my system. After a long session with the Belles last night I was starting to get a headache. This may sound stupid but they are so crisp and detailed that it became fatiguing. The B&K's definitely have more bottom end and a smoothness to them that I can enjoy for hours. Maybe I'm getting old...

Some tracks on older recordings the Belles really make shine but then newer stuff like techno and electronic digital recordings are best on the B&K's. Dang it! I need some kind of quick switch device!

I was saying this about speakers a few weeks ago. It's tough to find gear that excels at EVERYTHING. Trying is half the fun though.

I really don't have a genre I listen to the most. I like to mix it up. Drives my GF crazy. She hates that I can go from Hank Williams to Led Zeppelin to Lorde to whatever. One thing I don't like is a headache. Never got one with the B&K's For the time being I'm just going to keep them both out. Funny thing is when I switch to the B&K's at the same volume the low frequencies will jump out and get you. I like that! Even though the Belles is more watts they are not as dynamic.
