It's been a while since I've had the will power to not listen to any leaks, bootlegs, singles, etc for an album that I'm anticipating, but so far so good. I think I'll just pretend as if this is like any of the previous 156 months that did not contain any new TOOL music.
    Pro-ject 2 Experience SB, OPPO BDP-103, Marantz SR5011, Lounge LCR MKIII, McCormack DNA-HT5, Polk LSiM705, Polk LSiM706C, Polk LSiM702, SVS SB16-Ultra

I'm with you, man. Not listening until things are released all official like. Unless Tool wants me to. That's how I roll. B)

They’ve been hesitant to be a part of any streaming service. Their concerts never allowed fans to record performances. If performances or songs were uploaded to sites like YouTube, the band was pretty quick to have the material(s) taken down. The band wanted people to respect their integrity as artists. Social media and the internet are forcing them to change with the times. Their material will be on some streaming services in the near future.

Thanks Vic! Listening to a Tool "tribute" band on Tidal right now, kinda sucks.

I know some guys in a tool tribute band (lateralus) and they’re pretty good. They put on a great show and it helps to fill the void (well, it used to when I lived in Chicago - now I’m in no-mans land re: tool tribute bands).

There is a reason behind that. They want the album to be listened to in it's entirety. Not just hand picked songs. Kuddo's to them.

New album is called Fear Inoculum

Also they will be adding their catalog of music to Spotify and some other services I think.

Really hoping we get pre-order info tomorrow, along with the streaming rollout. In the mean time I'll be preparing myself for the sticker shock of whatever deluxe packaging they're going to offer.

I signed up for a dumb Twitter account just so I could be instantly notified of preorders. If there's a collectors/rare version of the vinyl I don't want to miss out and end up paying eBay scalpers. After this is over I'm deleting Twatter.
