SUT built by Gary Kaufman. He built a bunch of these using some nice NOS transformers he unearthed. I consider myself fortunate to have one of them :)

Carl's Jr. will become the first major fast-food chain to debut a cannabis-infused burger

I wonder if it’s available at the drive through?

Our 2 Confederate Jasmine vines are about to explode with thousands of beautiful fragrant blooms this year. They're the fullest they've ever been!

I've noticed in the Marietta GA area, everything is popping as I have never seen it, too. When you think about it, we don't see a lot of these kind of springs in our lifetime. Harry

It has been a long gradual Spring here this year. The rain coming every week or so. Just perfect. :)

I remember many years when it went from 30 degrees to 80 and just got hotter. >:)

There were many of those years here in Wilm. NC.. :s

Spring seasons like this make people want to move here! ;)

Growing up, I heard about "snow birds" people. I grew up in Northern Va. so I lived on a border line for snow birds.

But I do remember it was the norm for Northern people to vacation in Florida until the snows melted back home.

    Snow bird people. :D

Smart and financially able. I believe most were retired now that I think about those days. Our family stayed where we were.

I went to the back of the cottage to shut the door back there and as I was doing it, I heard what sounded like a hawk screech. I locked the door and stepped down on the step and looked up.

:o A huge hawk or owl flew off a branch about 30' or less from overhead with a raven or black bird on it's tail.

It was BIG. well, I know my wife loves seeing these things too, I came in and told her I saw something real big and I saw it land in a thick tree/bush in the back of the field. We went out to the field and sure enough, it took off from that small thicket and flew toward our neighbors back yard on our driveway's side. It was a clear silhouette against the grey sky when it flew off what this BIG bird was. A Great Horned Owl. B)

It landed quickly at the back yard line and then after a minute of hassles from ravens and blackbirds it flew toward our neighbor's house where a giant Magnolia sits between them and the next neighbor on the other side of their yard.

We walked quickly to see if we could see the owl in this big Magnolia. The black birds continued to hassle the owl but we just couldn't see the owl again. It was in there because the birds don't raise heck UNLESS there is a hawk or owl in the tree they're squawking at.

We looked for a few minutes all the time clapping our hands like gun shots to scare those blackbirds away and then there was a exodus of the black birds flying toward the end of our street toward the main road.

I didn't see that BIG silhouette lead the pack away but did see a bunch of those big ravens lead and the black birds following. There were about 7 to 10 harassers this whole time. My wife said she thought she saw it land in a giant pine up the street. I told her I didn't see it. She had binoculars at this time and walked up the street to see if she could get a closer look. I stayed in the drive and then she came back saying she couldn't see it.

She tried to look in that far off pine from our driveway and I came back in to listen to Levine on Fox news some more.

Nancy came in and said she sees it in that pine. I go out and look through the binoculars and see an optical illusion. It wasn't there. I come back in. Nancy stays out to look some more before the light gets too low.

While she was out there, the black birds started harassing the Magnolia tree again. She scanned that trees inner branches AND SPOTTED IT!

She came in and got me telling me it's a Great Horned Owl again. We've had them sleeping in giant trees around our yard about every 4 or 5 years. I think they come for mice and squirrels but more so mice and maybe rabbits too. Maybe a mole too because we've had an outbreak of mole tunnels in a bunch of our yards this year. I just killed a mole two nights ago.

Nancy gave me the binoculars and pointed to where it was. She gave me great instructions as to where to focus in at. BAM! There it was...2 GIANT round eyes staring RIGHT AT ME! It was the funniest thing! This is 90% of what I saw exactly. :D
    db6v97nrx9dy.png

It almost had this profile but it was really hard to see it's outline. Just the head and chest were able to be made out.
    xtun3imu00ww.png

At first I thought...no, that looks too funny looking and I looked again and stayed focused on those circles AND IT BLINKED! I laughed and told Nancy it blinked...so it's a live owl and not an illusion this time for sure. Nancy laughed and I waved at the owl and left them two out there to stare at each other some more. I was getting cold.

We've had some HUGE G.H.Owls hanging out here over the years since we have this field behind our house and GIANT trees all around this neighborhood.

It's truly a nature park here in our yard and the field behind us. We love it! The Owl was probably getting a hunting spot set earlier when I disturbed it by going out to lock-up the back room. There was one raven hassling it up close and I guess the others were coming to hassle it too at that time.

    It was FUN though. :p

Here's another pic that looked like what Nancy finally saw. Those chest strips are unmistakable and the ears too of course. Well, it's huge size kind-of makes it stand out too!. The wingspan and the width of those fat wings is VERY IMPRESSIVE.
