SUT built by Gary Kaufman. He built a bunch of these using some nice NOS transformers he unearthed. I consider myself fortunate to have one of them :)

Carl's Jr. will become the first major fast-food chain to debut a cannabis-infused burger

I wonder if it’s available at the drive through?

Our 2 Confederate Jasmine vines are about to explode with thousands of beautiful fragrant blooms this year. They're the fullest they've ever been!

I've noticed in the Marietta GA area, everything is popping as I have never seen it, too. When you think about it, we don't see a lot of these kind of springs in our lifetime. Harry

It has been a long gradual Spring here this year. The rain coming every week or so. Just perfect. :)

I remember many years when it went from 30 degrees to 80 and just got hotter. >:)

There were many of those years here in Wilm. NC.. :s

Spring seasons like this make people want to move here! ;)

Growing up, I heard about "snow birds" people. I grew up in Northern Va. so I lived on a border line for snow birds.

But I do remember it was the norm for Northern people to vacation in Florida until the snows melted back home.

    Snow bird people. :D

Smart and financially able. I believe most were retired now that I think about those days. Our family stayed where we were.

I went to the back of the cottage to shut the door back there and as I was doing it, I heard what sounded like a hawk screech. I locked the door and stepped down on the step and looked up.

:o A huge hawk or owl flew off a branch about 30' or less from overhead with a raven or black bird on it's tail.

It was BIG. well, I know my wife loves seeing these things too, I came in and told her I saw something real big and I saw it land in a thick tree/bush in the back of the field. We went out to the field and sure enough, it took off from that small thicket and flew toward our neighbors back yard on our driveway's side. It was a clear silhouette against the grey sky when it flew off what this BIG bird was. A Great Horned Owl. B)

It landed quickly at the back yard line and then after a minute of hassles from ravens and blackbirds it flew toward our neighbor's house where a giant Magnolia sits between them and the next neighbor on the other side of their yard.

We walked quickly to see if we could see the owl in this big Magnolia. The black birds continued to hassle the owl but we just couldn't see the owl again. It was in there because the birds don't raise heck UNLESS there is a hawk or owl in the tree they're squawking at.

We looked for a few minutes all the time clapping our hands like gun shots to scare those blackbirds away and then there was a exodus of the black birds flying toward the end of our street toward the main road.

I didn't see that BIG silhouette lead the pack away but did see a bunch of those big ravens lead and the black birds following. There were about 7 to 10 harassers this whole time. My wife said she thought she saw it land in a giant pine up the street. I told her I didn't see it. She had binoculars at this time and walked up the street to see if she could get a closer look. I stayed in the drive and then she came back saying she couldn't see it.

She tried to look in that far off pine from our driveway and I came back in to listen to Levine on Fox news some more.

Nancy came in and said she sees it in that pine. I go out and look through the binoculars and see an optical illusion. It wasn't there. I come back in. Nancy stays out to look some more before the light gets too low.

While she was out there, the black birds started harassing the Magnolia tree again. She scanned that trees inner branches AND SPOTTED IT!

She came in and got me telling me it's a Great Horned Owl again. We've had them sleeping in giant trees around our yard about every 4 or 5 years. I think they come for mice and squirrels but more so mice and maybe rabbits too. Maybe a mole too because we've had an outbreak of mole tunnels in a bunch of our yards this year. I just killed a mole two nights ago.

Nancy gave me the binoculars and pointed to where it was. She gave me great instructions as to where to focus in at. BAM! There it was...2 GIANT round eyes staring RIGHT AT ME! It was the funniest thing! This is 90% of what I saw exactly. :D
    db6v97nrx9dy.png

It almost had this profile but it was really hard to see it's outline. Just the head and chest were able to be made out.
    xtun3imu00ww.png

At first I thought...no, that looks too funny looking and I looked again and stayed focused on those circles AND IT BLINKED! I laughed and told Nancy it blinked...so it's a live owl and not an illusion this time for sure. Nancy laughed and I waved at the owl and left them two out there to stare at each other some more. I was getting cold.

We've had some HUGE G.H.Owls hanging out here over the years since we have this field behind our house and GIANT trees all around this neighborhood.

It's truly a nature park here in our yard and the field behind us. We love it! The Owl was probably getting a hunting spot set earlier when I disturbed it by going out to lock-up the back room. There was one raven hassling it up close and I guess the others were coming to hassle it too at that time.

    It was FUN though. :p

Here's another pic that looked like what Nancy finally saw. Those chest strips are unmistakable and the ears too of course. Well, it's huge size kind-of makes it stand out too!. The wingspan and the width of those fat wings is VERY IMPRESSIVE.

I picked the pics. off the web. But that one big one with the eyes IS about what my wife told me to focus into and on that area in our neighbor's tree. I'm smiling bigtime now again thinking about that Owl Looking at me probably with the same zoom capability as the binoculars I was looking through. It looked like we were 10 ft. apart through those lens...LOL... It was COOL!

Well I've read a million articles throughout my life. I've read about 20 books in the past few years. I think reading articles and books just sticks with you. The spelling is tough sometimes. Thank God for spell check!! I type words and it doesn't look right sometimes and so I ask my wife (if she's here in the back room) and she tells me how to spell it. I'm usually right but it JUST doesn't look right.

I have a great memory and can recall emotions and thoughts quite well. I can remember getting hit with a big clay boulder when I was 11. I can recall me climbing up this big clay hill and my friend yelling "Tony! LOOK OUT!" I looked up instead...BAM, this big boulder hit me above my right eye. Spitting my eyebrow. I remember the hit but not if I went to get stitches. Strange. Now at 61, I remember 20 years ago the ol... walking into a room and forgetting what I went into it for. But then I just stand for 30 seconds and trace my memory bank and the reason usually pops in thank God. One day it won't I'm sure. Lol. But tons of memorable events are in my head. Millions of memories and how does GREY MATTER store them?! It's supernatural and Miraculous to me. ;)

I learned to type 15 years ago and if I feel good, I can keep my thoughts in check enough for my fingers to type the scenarios that are in my memory.

I could be more descriptive about events but not quite a 90% photographic memory of them. Time of day...NOT at all. Temp...maybe, sun shining or not...maybe and most likely. I've always had a weird knack for remembering events that are meaningful or strange and odd or traumatic.

I told Drew about a "Deliverance" style event that's burned into my memory and my wife's too big time. :D No...nobody had to squeal like a pig. But the characters and scene sure were remarkably similar. :#

I'm laughing about it now...but we ( my wife and I ) were walking in disbelief almost the whole event. I was ready..., my wife just wanted to get the F away from this antique/thrift store that had yard sale signs posted back at a main road. It took us about 3 miles to get to this place. Now I'm starting to sweat thinking about it again...

Has anybody seen the movie " Wrong Turn"? That's what it reminds me of too. :# Scary! :o

I did buy this thing there though...I just had to take the extra risk for some stupid reason.
This picture is from the web too. I know I have a close up of mine but I just couldn't find it after scrolling through a thousand pics. But this is exactly like it. No lightbulb in it. It's just a small great rendition. My wife would argue I risked our lives for longer than need be! She wanted to get the H...out of there after her first step in. She was shaking and sweating too after we were back on the road. But I just had to buy this lamp before I left! It was the ONLY thing in there from this century I think.
    ia2pnwcuw38z.png

Even the clothes they were wearing...weren't from this century I don't think. And there were quite a few of them but no boys or men. I'm sorry, maybe a little boy...and an old man and older woman and some girls and a baby too... :# One girl or two was pregnant and filthy dirty. All of them. Their faces, clothes and the place too. There was carpet on the floor but you couldn't make out a pattern. There was one but I think it was 100 years old and never vacuumed. :s

Where were the men who impregnated a couple of these women? That's what we started to think about ( we found that out mentioning our thoughts to each other after we were heading away) the longer we were in there. :# My wife said the F bomb to me for staying in there too long I believe and she never says that word... but once a year maybe.

There's more to this story too. The environment and the sun rays TRYING to shine into it... :s There's even a little more to this memory. :D:#
