Why don't you "sign" for my package, Dave? What is sign language for that? A back-and-forth motion, I would presume. :o <<<< And this face! :p

I was just outside feeding a couple of squirrels and saw 3 Hawks soaring and heading RIGHT OVERHEAD of me. They saw those 2 squirrels on my driveway I'm pretty sure. These pics are of the 3 Hawks as they were soaring away. I missed getting a shot of them just overhead. I didn't have the camera at hand.

Well all 3 Hawks flew JUST above our yard and then slowly circularly soared back off into the far distance.

OK...that's not good for the squirrels future! Well, I changed my seating position to the porch of the cottage.

A couple of minutes later I see this Hawk land in this pine tree just across the street from my driveway.
    x5ywgi2cnc01.png

Well I still had the camera from trying to get pics of the 3 soaring hawks so I pointed the camera at the pine hoping it could focus on that Hawk in the middle of the Pine. I could see it in there, but could the camera's picture be clear and focused enough to see it too.

It took a GREAT picture and then as I went to take another pic. from a different spot, the Hawk flew off. Then I think I see another Hawk following it. Maybe it was those that were just soaring around that flew off. Did they turn and make a B-Line right back to my driveway when I wasn't looking? I doubt it. Those 3 soared pretty far away but who knows.

Check this out: There are TWO Hawks. I only saw the one IN THE TREE at the time I took the pic. COOL! I didn't get a good look at them as they flew away at all! But I think they are Red-shouldered Hawks by the looks of the last pic. but I didn't see any white stripes or white anything from what I saw. I liked the pic. in the list that I posted at the end but the rest of the 13 pics. don't look anything like it so I'm confused as to what kind these were. They were big though.

we don't see the antler-y kind 'til later in the summer... they tend to magically disappear right about the time hunting season starts :| They're smarter than they look, it seems...

PS We had some venison chili last night :) Venison from our son-in-law's take last fall :)
