    There's a lot of not-original thinking in loudspeaker design (at least at the level of aesthetics). That's why, I reckon, we had a couple of decades' worth of utterly bland and interchangeable tower speakers. Then Wilson Audio came along and speakers started to look like Daleks.

    Me either. Although I know the Wilson line of speakers sound amazing, they have to be some of the ugliest ever made. And I’m sorry when we’re putting speakers in the homes, they need to look like nice pieces of furniture IMO

    Notice in that picture the woman has passed the speakers by and the man just had to stop and play with the knobs. I'm sure she's giving him "the look".

    Reminds me of my wife and I after entering Sam's club a few times.
