Thanks guys, at the bottom is the parasound, the dac magic, a kodi box and my phono pre. What you don't see is my svs next to the arm of the couch. It's a big sectional made of fabric. Helped a lot. We are looking for an area rug right now.
-
LOL.....Looks like 2 big black boxes on the bottom, or is that part of the doors. Maybe after 2 more cups of coffee I'll see it.

I see some acoustic treatments in your future....
Congrats
Yikes, ain't that the truth. My ears hurt just looking at the pic.
Whats on the very bottom of the cabinet btw ? Are those 2 5jr's turned sideways for a center ?
Yeah, I've got to say (since tonyb kindly already broached the topic) that a pair of B&W loudspeakers in an environment that "hard" would rip my cochleas (is that the correct plural of "cochlea"? right out and stomp on 'em.
(just my ears' perspective -- YEMV*, of course)

The rti8s were 10x worse. Couldn't tolerate them at all. We are working on an area rug. -

Well, that's good to know! They must've been dreadful. We are working on an area rug.
Sounds good (no pun intended).
I guess I like my acoustic spaces as I like my women -- kinda soft.
Do they have "Reubenesque" rooms?

I would like to go on record as saying that there is no truth to the rumor that I tuned my system using Spinal Tap's Big Bottom.

So ugly.....yet so deliciousWhere’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!!

They're not as ugly as the domestic, barnyard kind.
Not (quite) as stupid, either.
And, unlike the barnyard kind -- they can fly.

(and, yes, tasty, too) -
Oh yes they can fly.
Especially as you're taking a nice amble through the woods & he decides to launch after you gone abut 2 feet past.

I love how they choose to cross the highway during rush hour. We had one at a busy gas station which scared a bunch of people.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

Even in the wacky, take-no-prisoners traffic in the Boston area, I've been on the freeway (MA Route 2, which is a freeway where it crosses Route 128) in rush hour when traffic came to a stop for a crossing group of geese & goslings.
They take Make Way for Ducklings very seriously in MA

From an hour ago, Steve Perry greeted by Arnel Pineda, Journey's current lead singer, at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.....

Steve Perry is on stage with Journey as I type this.

This gentleman was arrested for menacing his family with a hatchet. The most astounding part of the story is that it did NOT happen in Florida. He has taken "mug shot" to a whole new level, IMHO.

-
Kinda looks like Salvador Dali on a bad hair day.

Do we need a federal registration program for hatchets?

Ya know....I was looking for this sucker on every channel last night. Why can't they do this stuff live ? We get B.S. awards shows live, why not the R&R hall of fame ? I think HBO has the rights to it too.HT SYSTEM-
