If you didn't want to accept the scope of the job, you should not have signed up for the task.

Good luck SF, you may very well need as much of it as you can get if you use the same attitude elsewhere as you have demonstrated here.

You are so right.Married with three kids and a solid career and some successful businesses on the side .....I am extremely concerned! Or maybe I am just in some part of the world where our economy is real and working!.With the amount of **** I see on here I have made some real conclusions!.But hey, thanks for the concern. ;)

Not at all! The reality is that your nation has to use people who are capable of performing the task at hand because they are not capable themselves!

There are many members here who are from other countries. And yet none of them have ever said anything about the **** in the world like you have just done.
You have apparently associated this Polk Family with a uni-national world domination aspect. We like to talk about things about audio here.
We like to talk about things about our own families. We like to talk about a new TV we bought.
As an American, yeah we can kick some ****. As an individual, I don't approve of you.

    Hey Sea,

In case you haven't noticed yet. It's the 21st century and the ECONOMY is GLOBAL. There aren't any independent national economies of scope LEFT! And since everything is interconnected...economies (plural) rise and fall together. Nationalisms of any kind are fairly impotent these days in such a global market. Your criticisms are therefore misplaced and uninformed and categorizing United States as a Unitary political entity is also superficial. Did you follow the last election by any chance!!

Like Russ said...chill out. This is not MEET THE PRESS! It's audio-visual. Right! I doubt you saw any Polks in your time in the service in Iraq, for example? But if perchance you did; let's talk about THAT!

The above and the trash stated before and since this post makes me wonder if things aren't somehow coming apart for the individual. Like, maybe, the job came undone or the wife w/kids left him. Given the trash offered out of the blue here, I wonder why such a thing would happen to him in another forum???????

Only seconds left to correct that "yoy", LV!

As for what Yoda might say, I think it might have been something like "to the hall of shame, this thread, to go, it must! Yes, yes, yes!". Just an innocent suggestion though. Don't go getting annoyed or anything, and starting that heavy breathing thing that is just so uncool.
Hahahah... I thank you for your suggestion, but I think I know that green troll Yoda better that you. That is why I am after SEAFART so much. Trolls are terribly annoying and he is the scourge of the universe.

Don't you think that the term "cockmonkeys" may be too flattering a description?!
I beleive the term you seek can be found in an ACME unabridged dictionary, medical edition...

Needilus Microdicktum- a person who's **** is so small that it can only be found with a scanning electron microscope. So small is this appendage that a common housefly or mosquito is hung like a horse by comparison.

Not at all. A cockmonkey is someone who has no common sense, can't understand logic and generally is a narrow minded twit.

Essentially, Seafire is the equivalent of a monkey playing with it's ****, thus, he is a cockmonkey.

This is one of my favorite words as of late. It can be used to describe all sorts of things.

For instance, earlier today, the original battery in my dads truck went dead. We were trying to get it out to replace it, and the way it's built into the truck is really stupid. There's roughly an inch or so of room to work with while trying to get the bolts out of the battery terminals, which are side mounted. They could have been top-mounted, and eliminated the whole problem.

There's also a filler neck for the radiator fluid which conveniently sticks right over the top of where the battery needs to be pulled out, so it has to be removed to get the battery out. It could have been angled to the side instead of towards the back and eliminated the whole problem.

The battery compartment in my dads truck was designed by a cockmonkey.

    Get it now?:p;)

Your stories are much different though Russ. They're entertaining, and not at all cockmonkeyish in any way.

What happens is, I'm sure many of you know, when an amplifier is clipping, the signal is no longer being sculpted by the amp. It's not a sign wave with peaks and dips, it's straight 120V, from the wall outlet to the speaker. That's why clipping an amp blows speakers more easily than overpowering a speaker.
That's not clipping...it may be something else, but it's not "clipping". Clipping is where the amp doesn't have enough power to push the full amplitude of the called-for sine waveform, so the wave is chopped off and becomes more of a square wave. Very damaging indeed, but not "straight 120V".
