I try to use common sense as often as possible and common sense tells me you don't put a highly dangerous and deadly substance, that's vigorously regulated by the epa, into children's developing bodies or into anyone's teeth or for that matter into anyone's body, children or adult. Why do you think most of the childhood vaccines have had the mercury removed from them? Not because the government or the drug companies listens to quacks that's for sure so there's evidently some substance to this controversy.

Did you read all the links I posted? It's not like I made any of this stuff up. It's plastered all over the internet which doesn't mean it's true but you see how hard it is to convince any of you that it might be true so I would venture to say that something clicked in these authors mind that there is more to this than just quackery. For me it was finding my receipt for the vaccination I received in march of 98 and by august of 98 I was diagnosed with ms which is exactly what the book I read said always precedes a ms diagnosis.
Postscript: I wonder how much quackery was written about the dangers of smoking before people started to take it serious. -

OK, here are the facts and any way you slice it, you can't find any definitve refutation of them.
Dental Amalgams have been used, safely, for 150 years
The amount of mercury vapor ingested, on average, per day is roughly one third the amount considered by the ADA, CDA, WHO etc potentially dangerous. IE a SAFE amount
Now, in terms of vaccines. Again, there is NO conclusive evidence of any type that the mercury content presented any threat. NONE. If there were, do you not think that all existing vaccines would have been recalled?
While you chew on that, chew on this. The conspiracy theorist might conclude that it is just that, a gov't coverup. OK, so explain to me the recent recall of, say, VIOXX? I mean, wouldn't the gov't be in just as much hot water? I mean if they are going to cover something up, why just stop with mercury?
The fact is, all of your hocus pocus website allude to the dangers of mercury. On the surface, yes, that sounds plausible. However NONE of them mentions the amount that is actually ingested in the body nor do they reference the amounts that are considered safe. Nor do any of them make any concrete cause/effect relationships. You show me a conclusive study that definitively says there is a direct correlation between either dental fillings/vaccines and any sort of disease and I'll publicly apologize.
So, yes, I'll call the **** flag and I'll continue to consider you a paranoid putz.

Just like I thought, you aren't reading any of the links I've posted because your mind is already made up. Well I'll quote one of them:
"Up until about 1989, preschool children received only 3 vaccines (polio, DPT, MMR). Then during George Bush Senior's presidency, the number of immunizations given to young children skyrocketed, fueled by the federal vaccine advisory board that was populated primarily by lobbyists for the vaccine manufacturers. One of the vaccines added during this period was the mercury-laden Hepatitis B vaccine which was to be given within 24 hours of birth. Heptatis B is primarily a STD (sexually transmitted disease). The government could have instead instituted a blood test for pregnant women determine if their newborns were at risk rather than injecting all newborns with yet another vaccine. By 1999, the CDC recommended a total of 22 vaccines to be given before children reach the 1st grade. Many of these vaccines contained mercury. In the 1990s approximately 40 million children were injected with mercury-containing vaccines.
The cumulative amount of mercury being given to children in this number of vaccines would be an amount 187 times the EPA daily exposure limit.
Between 1989 and 2003, there was an explosion of autism. The incidence of autism (and other related disorders) went from about 1 in 2,500 children to 1 in every 166. Currently there are more than a half million children in the U.S. that have autism. This disorder has devastated families leading to high divorce rates, shortened lives of parents (parents of special needs children live an average of 10 years less than other parents), and reduced standard of living to pay for expensive treatments."

Thanks for helping me out. You're posting links that expose the truths that earlier you were calling big fat lies:
"Initially, CDC's work was all defensive, fighting to support mercury-free dentists who were being harassed by state licensing boards with threats of losing their professional licenses. CDC's work has now grown to include legal challenges to state regulations which prohibit mercury-free dentists from advising dental consumers about the risks of mercury amalgams, as well as support of national and state legislation to require informed consent before placement of mercury amalgams, to limit the use of mercury amalgams in vulnerable populations, and to ban the use of mercury amalgams for all by 2007." -
The cumulative amount of mercury being given to children in this number of vaccines would be an amount 187 times the EPA daily exposure limit.
IF all of these vaccines were were administered at the same time, I might bite but that's obviously NOT the case. Nor does your source actually say that ANY child was found with toxic amounts of mercury. Thanks for helping me out. Few people are logical. Most of us are prejudiced and biased. Most of us are blighted with preconceived notions, with jealousy, suspicion, fear, envy, and pride. And most citizens dont want to change their minds about religion, or their hair cut or Communism or Clark cable. So if you are inclined to tell people they are wrong, please read the following paragraph on your knees every morning before breakfast. It is from Professor James Robinsons enlightening book, The Mind in the Making.
We sometimes find ourselves changing our minds without any resistance or heavy emotion, but if we are told we are wrong, we resent the imputation and harden our hearts. We are incredibly headless in the formation of our beliefs, but find ourselves filled with an illicit passion for them when anyone proposes to rob us of their companionship. It is obviously not the ideas themselves that are dear to us, but our self-esteem which is threatened. . . . The little word my is the most important one in human affairs, and properly to reckon with it is the beginning of wisdom. It has the same force whether it is my dinner, my dog, my house, or my father, my country, and my God. We not only resent the imputation that our watch is wrong, or our car is shabby, but that our conception of the canals of Mars, of the pronunciation of Epictetus, or the data of Sargon I is subject to revision. . . .We like to continue to believe what we have been accustomed to accept as true, and the resentment aroused when doubt is cast upon any of our assumptions leads us to seek every manner of excuse for clinging to it. The result is that most of our so-called reasoning consists in finding arguments for going on believing as we already do. -

That's very deep and logical. I was just writing those same words of wisdom when my power blipped off and on and I lost it all
Oh well here's my version. If I haven't convinced any of you yet then I'm not going to probably because you're looking for a smoking gun and there may not be one and may never will so it will take a public outcry to change the status quo or a couple of lucky lawyers.
I still think it's very similar to the tobacco issue. One lab rat can smoke a pack a day and live a long and healthy life until it dies of old age but another lab rat can smoke a pack a day and die of lung cancer in a year or two. Try taking that scientific study with you to court. The same holds true for exposure to mercury except 1 in 150 kids now being diagnosed with autism is approaching the undeniable point.
The mercury issue is no different than the tobacco issue was except the public is still uninformed about mercury thus the flaming responses we've seen in this thread and the old one. Everyone knew smoking caused cancer but how many decades did it take for a jury to have the guts to say so and hold the tobacco companies liable for it. We haven't reached that point yet with mercury but it's coming.
It may take even longer though because it will be the ADA on its knees asking for mercy from the jury.

Are you saying that this applies to ALL of us regardless as to what height of spiritual enlightenment or Godly wisdom we may have been gifted with???
This helps me to keep Dale Carnegie's marvelous observation out of my life . . . I say these prayers on my knees before breakfast (amoung other prayers) I admit that what Dale Carnegie wrote is not completely removed from me because after all I am a weak human being;
#1.
My Lord,
I offer myself to Thee,
To build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy Will,
Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life,
My I your Thy Will always.
#2.
My Creator,
I am now willing that You should have all of me good and bad,
I pray that You now remove from me every single defect of character,
Which stands in the way of my usefulness to You and my fellows,
Grant me strength as I go out from here to do Your Will. -

Umm, just a thought CL, do you know what a daily exposure limit is and how it is defined by the EPA? Might want to do that research before condeming anything with that evidence. The cummulative impact of all the kids vaccines is 187 times the DEL? No problem as they aren't exposed to ALL THE VACCINES EVERY DAY!
Do you know how the DEL is generated? If you did, you'd understand that an accumulation of 187 days of over 3 years of injections has minimal risks. There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. Hey, bonus points to anyone who knows what "Sargon I" was!Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
Sargon I ? Heck, everybody knows that !
First, we have the famed Sargon of Akkad, dated to ca. 2340 BC but for whom allegedly "NO contemporary records exist" (Enc. Brit.), and this at a time when writing was in full swing in the Near East.
Second we have Sargon I of Assyria, dated to ca. 1850 BC, given an independent existence by some scholar based on only ONE tablet found in Cappadocia and allegedly dated to this era, although there are NO records in Assyrian literature anywhere about a Sargon of this period.
Third and last we have Sargon II of Assyria, dated to ca. 720 BC, who is regarded to be one of Assyria's great kings, based on records HE wrote. The scholars also think he chose his name Sargon in honor of the previous ancient Sargon of Akkad. This was quite a task, since NO records about Sargon of Akkad now exist.
It is easy to prove that Sargon I was Sargon of Akkad as well. The only evidence of a Sargon I anywhere is a tablet with a seal of Sargon found in Cappadocia. This fits perfectly with a tale about Sargon of Akkad, related in the Encyclopaedia Britannica under "Sargon of Akkad":
"Such was his fame that some merchants in an Anatolian city, probably in central Turkey, begged him to intervene in a local quarrel, and, according to the legend, Sargon, with a band of warriors, made a fabulous journey to the still-unlocated city of Burushanda (Purshahanda) [ this was Boghazkeui, Buyukale, ancient Hittite capital], at the end of which little more than his appearance was needed to settle the dispute."
Of course, that's just off the top of my head. Correct me if I'm wrong.
