how about .Dont go leaving your door open in a f**king ghetto and shooting kids at point blank range when they wander in unarmed intoxicated? This is MN and havent any of you thought the guy might hate mexicans
You are the first person here to bring up the race of the person shot and with a name like Joel LaFromboise I doubt anyone here would of guessed it.

That actually is a good point.

I fail to see the logic here. If he came in through the door window chimmney or pipe drain who cares? he was asked to leave and didnt, and he was only shot after he fought with the homeowner for control of the weapon.

You know what i dont like, the fact that in this whole post i havent heard any1 say stuff like, thats a shame i'l pray for the family or god rest his soul. Instead all you folks just go on about how the other guy should get a medal or shizzle like i would smoke any1 who enterd my home
Well you need to look back and do some more reading. I am the first one to say he should get a medal and I still believe that, the owner did everything that he could to avoid a violent encounter until he was forced to either shoot or relinquish control of the weapon and face being shot by the perp. I also stated that it was a shame that it happened on post #94 No one feels good about shooting anyone unless it's a revenge type killing, that goes without saying.

Personally I wouldndt have shot the kid simply because I wouldndt have had too, but most people either do not possess the training to to be confident in there abilty to overcome an assailant twice their size or are in good enough physical shape to actually do so.

You have to realize the kid after refusing to leave and fighting for the gun made his intentions perfectly clear. He wasnt there to play chess

Well I keep posting here because I am attemting to do two things.

    1. Get to 2000 posts via this thread

    2. To attempt to logically show you that this young man wasnt killed in cold blood he was killed in an attempt to protect ones own house, the one place where you should be able to feel safe. I highly doubt he was killed because of his race. This forum is filled with people of all ethnic backgrounds and if someone entered there home they like me could care less what color the intruder was, but we all pretty much agree that we have a right to protect ourselves with any force required including use of lethal force.

BTW what race are you anyways?

I have a story that may offer a different perspective.

My next door neighbor is a retired cop of 35 years or so. He was a lifer. At any rate, a man broke into a bedroom on the lower floor of his home. The man was clearly doped up, not drunk. At the time, his grand daughter was sleeping in the bedroom and completely oblivious of the intruder. She was a 9 year old girl. The ex-cop heard the intruders shuffling as he slid through the window. He went to see why his grand daughter would be up and about making noise at 11 am when she should be sleeping. Opening the door, the cop immediately saw the intruder standing over his grand daughter who was still sleeping. The ex-cop lept to a nearby closet and pulled out an H&K 357 and orders the man to get down while he calls the cops. The intruder grows agitated and begins reacting with wild eyes to the ex-cops small steps into the room with his gun drawn. The grand daughter is up and screaming at this point in complete hysterics. The intruder lunges toward her. At the same time, the cop doesn't shoot, instead he grabs a lamp on the night stand and hits the intruder over the head with it. The intruder stumbles back, falls out the window, and runs away.

A week or so later, the intruder was arrested by police in the next town over for raping a young girl while she was asleep in bed. I've heard this story a couple times from the ex-cop. He regrets hesitating and not pulling the trigger. IF he had, that other young girl would have never been raped. Sadly, he feels responsible for what happened to that other girl.

Police officers are trained to think in times of stress. That is probably why that perp is still alive. I think if it was John Q the perp would have been shot to pieces.

Not fair. I have "special skills", and grammer ain't one of them.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. That's the thing that gets me. I posted on page 6 and just read through this whole thing to see if it got anywhere. And the thing is, it didn't.
There are a surprising amount of people with the common sense to know that self-defense and cold-blood are two different things. Not surprising because the morality of this all, but because of the politically correct society we live in where we cannot mutter the word "no" to someone, discipline our own children or get past our own sense of entitlement enough to think that because someone has something, we should have it too, regardless of circumstance.

    I'm not a right-wing guy. I'm not super-uber conservative.

But I do believe that you are responsible for your actions. And if you mess up, you pay the price of your mistake. You sit at home all day without looking for a job? You don't get paid. Looking for a job, to me, is a full-time job, so I have no problem with unemployment benefits in that sense. You commit a crime, you pay for that crime. You blatantly stumble into someone else's home, refuse to leave, become violent and threatening and attack someone with a gun pointed at you? Well. What the f*ck did you expect was going to happen.

That's not politics. It's not pro-gun or anyone with an agenda. It's common sense. It's black and white.
