1. There are no viable circumstances in which the homeowner would have been justified in using deadly force, as per Technokid and slowpolky.
2. Techno and slow are clearly anti-gun proponents, this story is just a vehicle for them to spout their pov.

slowpolky, I'll buy you a bus ticket to Camden, NJ if you promise to stay for at least a week. There were 17 shootings last week alone. Most of them were done by teenagers attacking other teenagers. Motivation was either gang violence or drugs.
Witness that and then you can see what a cold-blood shooting REALLY is when a gang war leaves 4 dead bodies on a street corner while children sleep in the building above and mere hours later a shooting on the same corner happens over drug dealer turf. Oh and bring all your attitude and machismo. It'll make your experience way more interesting.
When you experience and deal with that, then you can be incensed about the senseless death of children. The death you are currently incensed about is not senseless. Is it sad? Yes. But the kid was actually committing a crime once he walked in to the apartment unwelcomed. He went even further by refusing to leave. He committed at least 3 crimes, maybe more. Breaking and Entering, Assault and Battery and Trespassing. The man who shot him did not commit a crime. He defended himself. Whether he intended to use lethal force or not is not really up for debate given the circumstances. He used necessary force. Sometimes necessary force ends up being lethal force. That's just how it goes, kid. If you don't want to see senseless punks die senseless deaths then maybe you should be preaching to the senseless punks in Minnesota rather than grown men and women on an Internet forum that already know better.
What is most amazing is that some punk kid in Minnesota is telling us that a criminal should be pitied for dying while in the progress of committing several crimes.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Toughness has nothing to do with needing a gun, unless you're strong enough to deflect the bullets of someone else's gun using only your huge biceps.
Here's a thought experiment taht I like to play with gun opponents (unfortunately it requires a certain level of cognitive thinking, which you lack, but what the hell).
- Do you concede that in some instances, police officers will need to use a firearm to protect you or someone you care about? If no, you're retarded. If yes, continue.
- Do you concede that a police officer cannot always be available to you when you need him or her? If no, you're retarded. If yes, continue.
- If a firearm is sometimes necessary, and a cop is not always available.... well the math isn't too hard.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
