If Allison is the red-headed 16 year old girl, I agree. Freaking awesome.

    :D

Damn, it was like he conjured Robert Plant, Axel Rose, Bono and a few unknown sopranos all into one possessed voice. But it was memorable, and he certainly was making an "I will never compromise the rocker in me" statement to the "country folk"!

Big deal, you can play the "I won't compromise" card without coming off as a total jackass. David Cook did it last year, Chris Daughtry the year before that, and they both at least respected the material, rather being like glam-boy and telling the entire country music scene to go eff itself.

LOL. I so hope he gets voted off. He is the smarmiest character. Allison is always consistently awesome and she's only 16! She has a great future.

    1.- He/she/it can definitely sing.

    2.-I can't stand him/her/it, and I really hope he/she/it doesn't make it to week 5.

I do admit, his style is terrible, but, if its based on whos the best performer/singer, he would win hands down.
His look definately hurts him. Alot of people judge someone just by how they look.

I think adam's look suit him, its his personality. I like the way he dyed his hair but not the cut.

I don't mind Adam's look - certainly not my style by any stretch but as Caligula said, it fits him - I just hate his attitude. He's full of himself. And no American Idol is not about who's the best singer, it's about who the viewers like the best (based on whatever criteria they use to judge). Very few of the past winners have been the best pure singers or performers, they just have that 'je ne sais quoi' that makes people like and enjoy them. Even if you get away from Idol and look at popular music, if the people who are popular are the most talented musicians in America we're doomed; instead they just have a combination of something that makes them appealing to a large group of people.

Adam has awesome stage presence and a great voice, but he acts like a world-class ****, and that does NOT endear you to many people.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I think Anoop and Kris Allen really knocked em out lastnight.

Matt at the end did real well, as well as the young redhead, but I think everyone expected them too. Which is what made me think the other two (Anoop and Kris) really stood out. That one blonde girl with the odd dancing/seizuring is begining to get on my nerves, almost as much as the he/she is.

Sarver is starting to really fall flat, kinda disappointed with his last few performance's.

Forgive my critical tones, Ive been listening to Simon a bit too much apparently.

    Dave

PS, Gokey is still gonna win.

Brook White nailed that song last season. I even bought it from iTunes (one of 3 ever and the other 3 were from the same season and only because that was the only way to get them) :o
Gotta give Alexis a little cred for putting more emotion into the song instead of singing it the same way during her possible judges save attempt. She did it way too over the top, but she tried. I was surprised she was in the bottom three.
Its sad, you could see the look of distraght in her face when sitting in the final 3 stools. Then when they mentioned a possible save for either her or Sarver, she looked like she knew that she had it in the bag, she immediately perked up--but alas.

I'm also surprised Allison was in the bottom 3. Hmmm.

I still simply can't believe Scott is still in it, and now on the tour no less. Same kinda thing happened in the season, I forget her name now but she got pushed out of the final 10 for the tour by Sanjaya IIRC. Could be a WFTW thing-haven't checked it lately.

I don't know about Adam still. I thought the performance was certainly interesting-kinda 60-70ish-kinda Led Zep (as Paula said Kashmir-ish), perhaps a bit Arthur Brown (maybe it was the fire thing). I wouldn't say it was horrible. I actually kinda liked it (well the 2nd half anyway) I guess I'll have to hear it again.

    Anoop-Dog actually redeemed himself.

I did not care for Gokey's performance. Lacked....anything really.

I honestly think the quirky dancing style of Megan must be a hold over from her childhood that just kinda stuck. I am really liking her voice--kinda like Zooey Dechanel.

I try not to get too hung up on how a person performs (not sings), dresses, moves, etc when it comes to a singing competition--singing is the main factor for me. I think there's room for improvement later with all the other peformance, appearance stuff. Its a lot to ask of these contestants learning the songs, commercials, groups songs and dances, arrangments, etc, etc. Most of the time for me, I hear music I like before I ever see the person or band performing it. Actually with some bands/singers that's a good thing.
Of course I also realize that the public is voting so they have to appeal to the voters but-JMHO

Alexis is gone and that Sarver (the oil rig dood) is still around ? And not even in the bottom 3 ?

And Allison was in the bottom 3 ?

Alexis could/can sing. Good stage presence, good looking, the whole 9 yards.

And just watch Allison; is there anybody in that group more genuine or has more fun singing ? No, IMO.
    And she can sing.
