Sam Adams is one of my favs along with Bass Ale, although I like Bass better on tap. BluePoint Toasted Lager is another favorite.

Also tried Budlight Lime this past weekend, not bad at all.

I didn't want to say anything before, but I actually enjoyed Bud Light Lime too. For some reason, they put the perfect amount of lime taste in there and the beer tastes miles better than Bud Light to me. A very drinkable cheap beer. First pleasant surprise from Budweiser I've ever had (except them purchasing Corona).

Tried one at a party and I was pleasantly surprised. You summed it up perfectly: It's a cheap beer that is drinkable. Bud did a good job with this one.

I have to say, that is a good one! Found it in the microbrew section of a local beverage store. Thought it sounded interesting. Gave it a try, drank 4 out of 6 in about an hour and a half.

    Well, B2, I'd have to say you're batting 3 out of 4.

They had a "Mix-Your-Own-6 Pack" deal at "Shop and Save" last week, and Hoegarden was one of the beers we tried.

All I can say is, I took one sip of the Hoegarden and it was ..... not a good thing. Too much orange peel taste for me. Way too much.

haha. well, one of my uni profs once said, the limits of my world are the limits of my mind. I haven't tried (most of) the beers that has been mentioned here.

I think the "orange peel taste" is what made me like the hoe. hehe. it's relaxing after you've down several Heinies (since apart from Tiger beer, that's the most sold beer in places where I work) then all of a sudden glance at the beer list and see a hoe. the change in taste is such a welcome treat... for me. hehe.

I've been digging on Pacifico lately. A friend bought one for me one night and it's stuck with me.

If it's above 6% abv, it will usually fall into my favorite catagory. Oh, and pretty much anything by Stone. Their Ruination is to die for.

OK, had an Anchor Steam which I haven't had in a while and honestly, it reminded me alot of Yuengling. So for those of you left coasters that never tried a Yuengling, Anchor Steam's lager is very similar. Has more of a manufacturer taste if you could call it that. Dunno why.

For those that recommended Fat Tire, I had the Amber brew tonight and was quite pleased. Best beer I ever had? No, not at all but it was very good and in the top 10 of beers I've had. Kinda hoppy with a weird, almost charcoal after taste but smooth texture and presentation and easy going down. Strong too. Up there with the strength of the brews from Stone Brewing Company.

Give me Mickey's or give me death. I mean... the piss even comes in a grenade shaped bottle. Perfect for chucking at mailmen, carnies, midgets, lumber jacks, Steve Guttenberg, etc.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    Additional favorites:

Troegs Mad Elf (Christmas seasonal and 11%)
    Saranac Pumpkin
    Long Trail Belgiun White (Vermont)
Grimbergen Double Ale (easy-to-drink smoothness and cheap for Belgiun)

Lots of stuff from Avery Brewing is also good (except Avery Samuels - tastes like cherry wine mixed with Miller Lite)

Try these if you ever get the chance.
