    Thanks H9 and Sophie,
I dl's the files via both H9's Megaupload and Sophie's torrents; I'm seeding the torrents and it looks like there were 7-8 seeds during my dl, but no more dl'ers as of yet.

Sometime in the past couple of days Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones made a guest apperance with Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters to perfrom R-n-R with Dave Grohl on drums and Ramble On with Taylor Hawkins on drums.

Wow, that video is awesome. Anyone know whether or not they have any plans to release that reunion show from last year on dvd???

So we haven't really discussed this topic on this thread, so let's start... Further reunion possibilities? The obvious reason why there was no Zep tour after the one-off show was Plant's tour commitments with Alison Krauss. But as that string of concerts winds down, the very fact that Jimmy and Jones are still jamming together as recent as a few days ago has to re-ignite speculation. Whaddaya think? I know I would pay ungoddley sums of money to see that show. I saw Page/Plant in '98 from the 7th row. Man oh man, just absolutely intense. They put out a cd-single version of Shining In The Light, which has an amazing No Quarter from that tour on it. Of course, no John Paul Jones, but it's extremely well recorded. H9, maybe I could get that flac to you for your blog?

I saw P/P twice and at the time it was incredibly awesome. The weak link looking back was Michael Lee, not anything close to Bonham. At the time I was happy just to hear Zeppelin songs but after listening to the recent reunion gig Jason (while still not his father) is a much truer sounding drummer and that's what was missing from P/P along with the irreplaceable JPJ.

I hope some better footage surfaces from the Foo Fighters concert rather than the shi**y cell phone footage. I have a lot of P/P stuff as well and the single you mention. Recently (the past couple years) the complete Japanese tour came out from the soundboard plus I have an excellent full length DVD from the last night in Japan. I have a lot of plans for my blog so those interested just keep it book marked.

As far as a full blown tour..............I doubt it very much. I've read countless interviews with Robert and he has his apprehensions. I think they will play together again at some point but a long grinding tour isn't going to happen. Who knows though; if you would have asked me a year ago if I'd ever see a 2 hr concert of the remaining members with Jason on drums I'd have said no effing way. The Allison Krauss tour is a convenient excuse right now for Robert but it goes deeper than that plus Robert is just being Robert in the press. Constantly talking sideways when asked directly about future Zep plans. He's gone from saying no way too it's possible for the right reason, so who the hell knows.

Jimmy and JPJ have been together a lot lately and have vocalized in the press they'd be willing to continue going forward. Some in the press have even speculated JP and JPJ have been in the studio collaborating writing new music.Jimmy has said there is no plan to release a DVD of the concert and that it would be a huge undertaking, but he did leave the door open saying maybe someday. According to him it was filmed and recorded for archival purposes and neither of them have watched any of the footage. Except he forgot to mention someone saw him in a bootleg shop in Japan when he was promoting his new Gibson guitar buying the Third Eye Productions bootleg DVD of the show. ;)

One last note; Dave Grohl says he can now die a happy man and he was shi**ing bricks when JP and JPJ accepted his invitation to play a couple songs on stage. He stated it was the greatest night of his life!!

So lately I've noticed the number of DL's decreasing. Does this thing still have legs or are people just bored with it? I absolutely don't mind doing it but if only a few to no people are going to participate there is really no point in spending time doing this.

I have had very little feedback and if there are some issues preventing people other than lack of interest I'd like to know.

I have another ready to go, but the last upload has zero DL's according to Megaupload stats.

If this thing has run it's course, that's fine I just need to know because I'm primarily doing the blog for those here that want the music.

I will continue as even if just a few are digging it. Just wanted to make sure.

    H9,
Maybe the stats are skewed because I refuse all cookies from the Megaupload site. (maybe, could be?)

Thanks for keeping it going, I was a monster LZ fan in the 70's during my formative years. i.e. the stuff pissed my Dad off ;)

No problem just wanted to make sure people were still interested. The first files started out with about 30 DL's and the last files had zero. This blog is only viewable by those that visit CP and connect directly using the URL. I have it blocked from web crawlers to keep the traffic down and keep it way off the radar.

Somewhere I've got a cassette bootleg of a show they did in Osaka Japan. I want to say it was '71. Great show, they had to extend the acoustic set because John Bonham was wasted backstage. There was a whole "Where's Mr. Bonham???" segment on the tape!

Great stuff, thanks again for doing this Brock!

Yep, that was the last show in Japan in 1971, Osaka Festival Hall 9-29-71.

"There was plenty of road fever going on, including an incident where Plant punched Bonham before one of the shows (9-29-71) The drummer was to go temporarily missing during the acoustic set" "During the show Plant eludes to Bonham being with a Geisha Girl backstage"

I was going g to post that next just because the 1st Japanese Tour is outstanding. The group and the audience are one!! :)

Glad everyone is enjoying them. Lots of great stuff and more to come from an amazing band. The legacy is truly with the live recordings, IMO. It seems to be settling in at about 1 per week. We'll see; as summer gets busier it may slow down a bit.
