So, I just heard today that we're getting $600 from George & Nancy....
What to do w/ it, is the question?

I love that when the gov't gives us our own money back we treat it as a gift.

I love it when the worthless **** give 30% of what's being given out to people who never paid a dime in taxes. Meanwhile the people who pay the most taxes don't get one red cent. It's like welfare part II.

In any event, these "rebates" (it's a misnomer) don't solve the problem. They're a temporary fix at best.

It's funny how both sides can come together during an election year for some good publicity.

I TOTALLY agree with Demi on this one. As for what I will be spending it on .... NOTHING because I am too RICH to qualify apparently. So for being a good citizen and paying my taxes and keeping my mortgage up to date and paying off my other bills - I get nothing. Which is exactly how it should be - I just pisses me off that MY tax $$ will be going to subsidize others even more than usual. 150 BILLION!

What am I going to do with my own money? My own money that was corruptly taken from me in the first place?

Either save it or spend it in ways that won't get taxed.

If I get a check for $600 this spring, it'll go towards stuff I already bought with money I didn't have. They won't see an increase in the local economy on my part.

And, at a salary of $30k combined between full and part-time jobs, I would hope I qualify.
    Ludicrous gibs!

You guys are missing their point entirely... by giving this money back in "Cash" forms to the middle and lower classes, (The classes that spend the most statistically) they are investing it back into the economy. Whether you agree with the mentality or not, it really doesn't matter. It's the way our economics work with the Government spending to help bring up spending.

Regardless, I'll take the 600 + 300 for each kid and enjoy it! No complaints here. I won't be spending it, but they don't need to know that ;)

The rich don't go out and spend blow money on things that aren't needed... they pay cash for their toys not overspending. That's how they got to be rich. By counting their penny's. The poor and middle class are all striving to be like the "Jones" and are in debt over their eyeballs on things they don't need... with money they don't have. By giving these people more money, statistically they are going to put it right back into the economy.

That's my thoughts and opinion's from economic classes I've taken. :D

You realize your government classifies someone making $87,000 a year as rich, right? That's a good chunk of change, but it's not even close to mansions, Porches and condos in Maui.

Also, the lower and middle class in no way spend more than the upper middle class and "rich" spend. Think about it logically, the more you make, the more you spend overall -- you have more expendable income. It costs more to buy salmon and wine every week than hamburger helper and kool-aid.

You'd be far better off cutting taxes rather than putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound.
