Hey Ben great DIY you have going! No doubt they will be loud!!! Question for ya, I am redoing Monitor 10s crossovers (original series) and will be posting my work. What do you use to do the thumbnails to blow up pics?
    Thanks!

I just go into advanced mode, manage attachments, upload pics from my puter, exit window after they upload, and you are done!

I expect that they will be very close to the SDA 1.2TL's. Mine have the smaller 10" passives(2 10's is just a hair shy of the effective diameter of 1 15) which I will tune a little lower to help reach that kind of response. There will be double the amount of 6.5 drivers that will also help to dig a little deeper. I will be able to post in room response(my room sucks donkey for testing. cheap painted paneling on steel studs:o ), but anabolic chamber testing isn't feasible with speaker this size. It's not just the speakers, but I would also have to move 3 amps, pre, source, and controller box.

The software used for the Forum automatically turns uploaded pics into thumbnails.

They over complicate the formula. They should of said 6.28 instead of pie*2. In some of the formulas. Its not to complicated. They at least give you one finished example. It is very useful as a guide to see if you are way off, or dead on. The best thing about this is that it takes your amps input impedance into consideration. Fmods (Harrison labs) just say 2500hz, but after figuring the input resistance of the amp it is actually more like 2300hz(which is better for me). Just something to play with.

She sure is. She has driven a golf cart, 4wd farm tractor, fork truck, daddy's car, and ridden a motorcycle so far. She is a blast, and her sister too. When ever life gets tough them smiling at me just makes everything worth it.

Why are the demension drivers not in a sealed space from the Pr and the stereo drivers?

If the demension drivers are out of phase from the stereo drivers, wouldnt they interfere with the PR's and the stereo drivers?

Edit: I see they are. But why have Pr's with the demension drivers?

I'd imagine ben is going to incorporate a crossover similar to what polk had. It would not be totally(full frequency) out of phase, but just the differences in the channels out of phase, with some thing like 200 hz and under all being fed straight into all the mws.

The dims also put out the same sound as the stereo drivers + the out of phase from the opposite channel minus the out of phase bass. I did my design this way to tighten up the stereo bass. I know some people are going to say that the dim drivers are designed to put out stereo bass, and they are correct. The thing is when I watch movies I will be using the dim drivers for LFE. I am going to have a control box to do various signals, level, and frequency adjustments. I will take pics, and draw up a schematic. You only need to go so loud for movies. With my insano sub you could really feel the pressure coming from the sub. With this setup I will have a more even in room bass response.
