BTW I am getting my replacement Vifa's soon:) I hope to have some time to rewire them like 1.2's and wire the 8 extra MW's like MP suggested 300hz, and below:)

I will. I need to rewire 32 MW's. It's not fun. Also I would like to upgrade the wire inside, but that is a chunk of change I do not have now.

I did too many different things to comment on what did what, but the mortite mod that DK suggested did more than tighten bass;)

Can you post a pic of them in their new location? What are the room dimensions? What impact did the room change make?

IUt is my upstairs living room. Wider than down stairs, but the same depth.

I wired the top 8 MW's for 4 ohms, and put a 2.5mh inductor in series for roughly a 250hz lp 6db filter. The lower 8 are wired just like 1.2TL's. Right now I am digging throuh my inductors. I have too much high bass, and it sound muddy, but if I drop it to say125hz it may sound better.

2.5 mh seems pretty small and I wouldn't think it would be very effective until the 1k range.

I have too much high bass.
Not surprising considering all 16 drivers are operating in the bass range.I would expect an imbalance toward bass heaviness with all that extra output vs the midrange and treble.Aswell as using a bigger coil on the 8 top drivers you might try hi pass filtering (with a simple series cap) the SA/DA sections to reduce their contribution in the bottom end ,thus making it a 3 way. (With that many drivers you can afford to lose some of that bass output;)).

Increasing the slopes at 125hz from 6db to 12 db for both the hi and low pass filters would likely be benificial.Better yet would be going active as you've done for the mid/tweet,possibly using a 4th order slope in the 100-200hz region. This would allow for complete independant control of the levels for the low 's /mid's and high's.I know this option isn't practical due to cost and complexity but being a proponent of active xovers I think it would be a step up in performance.

These are just some of my silly thoughts and not meant as critisism

    How tall are those?
    A little over 7 foot.

Well I am watching War of the Worlds now. Today I buttoned up my GFA-585, and I am using it to drive the top 8 MW's in each cabinet. So I have 16 total running just sub duty. It doesn't dig quite as hard as my sonosub, but it is more than enough for here. For now I have my Sony 400 disc DVD changer running the analog sub out, and PCM is doing the two mains. It isn't 5.1, but this 2.0 is rocking the house with decent surround, and center being done by the SDA's. The way it is now the level control for the subs is handled by the configuration in the DVD player. The only thing that really sucks is the mains are set to large, but I am not sure where the XO point is. I know it isn't flat:(. Oh well I have more than enough bass, and no port noise. Even tough these things are tall it doesn't take up too much floor space:)
I am off to watch the Matrix reloaded(Karma:)).
    Thanks Bill

Well I am going to fire these up again. I had retired them to a spare room to sit. In another thread on a custom build I had mentioned that Jerry picked up a 3 way XO that has been working great to kill the screaming mid issues that have plagued my bigguns since I have moved into a house. We are excited to see what happens:)

By the way, when you're drinking your brewskies and talking on the phone, do you prefer boxers or briefs?

Well I brought them out. I did the low pass passive. What a mistake. Active is the way to go. I have some credit at PE so I am thinking some real high up Morels. At first I was trying to figure out what was rattling on the speakers, but it is the house. EFing crackers put up crap houses here. Nothing like up north. I forgot about how hard the low mids hit you in the chest.

Well I of all people should know let them burn in. I have spent a lot of time here, and sometimes a newb will recommend something off the wall to me. I need more stuffing in my cabs. Polk engineers recommended at least a foot^ per driver. Well they need a little more stuffing. I am very pleased as of late. Jerry wanted these in trade for the ones we built for him, but I am liking them more and more. You know I would have never guessed how much shunt caps make a difference burning in. These may stay. The vaulted ceilings help a lot. I may also go 1C style tweeter setup. This will take the power handling load of the lower highs. Morel came out with better mid priced tweeters with the Acuflex domes. Much better than the Morels I was using before.
