Well I have a pair on the way(Vifa ring radiators). After some communication I have added a pot to the stereo array to let the dimensional array do its work. I still need to taper the stereo array(mids still beaming), but money is the prohibitive factor in this ordeal. I need some MW6511's to get this totally proper. The other place in FT Lauderdale was much more forgiving. It is tough to dial in the SDA here. I really need a bigger room to get this running right. The other room was 20x20, and this one is 20x12:(

Please explain this sleep thing you speak of. Better yet come over and explain it in person. This is a concept I have not had a solid grasp on yet.
GN George. Call me after 1pm;) I want to finally stop by. Again GN.

Now that this Newbie has caught up... Man, what a project..! Those things are Monsters...
I wouldn't mind attempting something like this but in a smaller scale. Like a satelite of one of these baby's.
    Awesome job Ben..!

Well please pray for my tweeters. I don't know if this statement is improper, but my Morel's can't keep up with the rest of my system. I lost a couple more soldiers this evening. "They tried, but could not carry he weight". Hopefully the Vifa's are up to the task.

Well Efin A! After some chats with the creator I have made some minor changes which turned out to be major changes. I apologize to the Polkies who showed up for PFGA. I made some changes that just killed SDA, and made upper mids not so nice. I was under the assumption my room was killing the SDA. Well some tweaks it is in full effect. I am not at liberty to disclose what has been shared with me(well I don't think so(DK in the same boat(I think:confused:))), but I have done some tweaking, and I am thinking of going bigger:eek:SRT's and SDA's please just step aside. Mind blowing $hit happening here. Sorry PFGA guys. You are more than welcome to come by anytime.

The Vifa's are much more forgiving than the Morel's. In the larger room they were in before the morel's worked great. The Vifa's have smoothed what seemed to be some harshness from the mid. It actually was the tweeters. I hope these hold up. I am going to have a switch to alternate from Vifa to Morel. I lost my extra GFA-565's today. Bill stopped by for his marble, and took the amps with him. These were actually Russ's amps that I fixed for him a while back. I would like to say thanks Russ for letting me run them here(HBD). Now I am running a Nile's amp on the highs. I have not gone nuts on the Vifa's yet. I can't afford to kill these. I think the Nile's amp my be a little flatter than the Adcom's. I'll be able to tell when I have a switch to go back and forth between the Vifa's Morel's.
    I'll post more.
    Thanks

I wish I had some Who. It was closer to 5am. I need to chill for a while. Nobody has ever said a word. I know the valley in the back echos a bit, but there are leaves on the tree to help with the sound.

Well these are my thoughts. I figured a pic is better than trying to decipher what I am typing

    On the left
Tie the blues, and the oranges together for an 8ohm load each then Parallel them.
Tie all the dimensionals together for a 4ohm load then I would still have 4ohms per array. I would probably use a 6db XO(inductor) on the blues at 250hz. I have a bad room gain at 300. What I am thinking here is if I keep the whole dim array at 4ohms like suggested as a test it might actually work as a permanent solution? The silver pre is one I made with a high, and low pass active filter set at 2200 Hz. It’s not hard to change if it is too high. The little brown box holds the single 8.5mh .33dcr inductor between the dim arrays, and ground. Both arrays are parallel, not series. It’s a little bit of a load at 2ohms, but the Adcom 565’s do not over heat, or break an audible sweat. Right now I have a pot on the stereo array to widen the SDA effect(tuneable).

On the right is most likely the best solution.
Tie all the blues together for a 4ohm load (250 Hz, and below)
Tie the oranges together for an 8ohm load (wire like 1.2TL’s)
Tie the greens together for a 4 ohm load ((wire like 1.2TL’s)
This wouldn't have the adjust ability of the SDA effect, but I would be able to set all blue woofers at what ever XO point I would like. Say 80hz for movies, or 250hz to keep the positive effects of a long array. I would need to acquire 4 more 6511’s, or 6502's) Maybe in progress.
    Thanks Jeff
