No, I'll bet he is correct but I'm thinking the energizers would be quicker sounding.

I don't care what kind of batteries we use. If The kids are out of the house and we get wild enough, the batteries in that rabbit thing only last about 2 hours.

I hooked up a pair of Diehards to my R30's, and I definitely could tell a difference in the sound.

I was also able to pop popcorn off the tweeter at the same time, so my listening experience was definitely enhanced.

The only problem I experienced was the 22-gauge wire running along the floor to the R30's got a little hot and kind of melted into the carpet. I'm going to go to Loews and get some bell wire. That's what I used for the front doorbell, and my doorbell sounds pretty clear (can hear it throughout the house), so I figured it would help bring out the highs a little better on the silk dome tweeters.

If nothing else, it should reduce popping time for my Act III popcorn.
    Anybody got any suggestions ?

No...but if you if you put the battery in backwards and play The Beatles White Album you will be able to hear "Paul is dead" in the background.

Well, I suspect that much like a sub, for it to be tight sounding, it must be sealed, and since it's pretty obvious that the bear's ****$ was ported instead of sealed, the smart money is on a boomy plopping sound. :p
