My mother's mother's parents owned a huge tract of land that was miles long, from North Troy (they donated the land for the church there) southward that ran between Route 105 and the Missisquoi River.
I don't know if their property went that far south, but it was massive. I am trying to find plat maps from 1917, when they bought the land, up to the 1960s, but so far most everything is from the 1800s. -

This covered bridge in Cobb County Georgia has been hit, damaged, set on fire, etc. frequently.
In recent years, the steel beams have absorbed the hits.
