Looks more like a retirement community than apartment complex. Whats with the flat roof area on the left ? Is that where all the a/c and heat will be located ? Heck of a distance for that building all the way on the right.

Since they all drive pickup trucks that only get 13 mpg they need to fill up all the time hence the number of pumps....

I think a bit of both. lol

Can't knock Texas too much, consistently rated as one of the best states to live in, raise kids in, work in, and also retire in. Unlike the rest of us who have to move out of our states to retire leaving family and friends behind.

Having been sweltering in southern Virginia this past week*... I am thinking there are some... shall we say... drawbacks to living in the South. Yeah, I realize it's nicer in, say, TX than, say, in NH in February... but, still...

    :-)

    * Why is it that our kids seem to ask for moving help only in the middle of the summer, without fail? No one moves, like, in the first week of May...

The Dallas, Fortworth, & Arlington has become such a Hugh area of a city I can see the need for extra gas pumps there.

My closes QuickTrip remodeled 6 months ago to 24 pumps cause they said it did the biggest volume of gas sales in and around the Wichita area. Because it catches people entering and leaving the city and its right off the I-135 interstate.

nice in Northern NH today. Just sayin'.

Oh, and be sure to sit on the correct side of that A/C else you'll be empirically reminded of the inevitability of the Second Law of Thermodynamics! :-)

Theoretically..... If I have the proper amount of blue agave tequila....I can manipulate the subatomic electron structure of an IC cables simply by lighting a cigarette and TELLING the outer jacket to reject thermal transfer while listening to Fifth Dimension.

yes, it does (look like Orson Welles), doesn't it?

Another interesting finding when I was prepping my college lecture course last fall -- a Russian fellow named M. Tswett (or Tsvet), considered the inventor of a powerful technique for the separation of biological molecules called "chromatography", bore a striking resemblance, to my mind at least, to Monty Python's Eric Idle! :-)

Yes, one does have to be careful when challenging the assumed laws in any field of physics.

Here at the Institute for Stuff, we attempted to challenge some of Schrodinger's principles with rather dismal results. We had run out of cats, so we resorted to using dogs for testing our postulates..

    http://i.imgur.com/6VHzRk4.gif

GD dogs completely refused to cooperate, thereby ruining the advancement of science.
We've moved on to the field of trans-teleportation. Using new volunteers (cats from the local shelter) and a Sharp 1500 watt commercial microwave, we anticipate exciting results.
