They could conceivably use that language against musicians, too. I do agree with ensuring that someone's enjoyment of their audio whatever doesn't infringe on someone else's enjoyment of their peace and quiet. I hate hearing some gangsta-wannabe kid rattling my windows at 11PM. But I don't want a nosy politician getting too overzealous either, and telling me what I can and cannot own. That is my business, and mine alone. That said, I fully support ticketing individuals who haven't learned the fine art of respect for others, a lesson as lost on the authors of this bill as it is on kiddies who boom at night in residential areas.

I know how to solve this... we'll have a battle-0-ramma.

In one corner, Schmid, with his pixel-ated arms and legs... and bad hair piece.

In the other corner, coming out of retirement for one night and one night only... the one... the only...

    GALVATRON!

Primus was mentioned in Season 3 --- Season 3 was the horrible season that followed the Movie ... it was the last season... there was a season 4 but it was just 3 episodes that were the final "story arch" of the cartoon series. like a big farewell deal.

Anyway... there's an episode called "call of the primitives" or something like that... long story short... some wack job scientist is working on a creature that was partially built by the creator of Unicron... the same guy who built Primus.... Primus, Unicron, and this other thing are like "brothers" ... Unicron we all know and love as the devil in the movie... this other thing (its like a giant planet size energy sucking spider) was supposed to be the one thing that could kill unicron (other than the matrix)... Primus had apparently been killed by Unicron ...

Primus built first... good dude, made a bunch of little planets with robots on them ... so he's kinda like a god to the transformers... ... he gave them his "heart" the autobot matrix of leadership, which contained all his memories... they then passed it on, leader to leader... well shortly there after Unicron killed him... then unicron got pissed because he coudln't find the matrix inside Primus... so he killed his creator... who had only half finished another project.... a project that would be able to kill Unicron because Unicron was otua control.

I'm not going to finish teh episode for you because it really sucks...but you get the idea now.

Looks like we have a common interest.

HA! So much for that! I posted this over in the Clubhouse and it looks like we're on our own on this one. Most dont care and the the rest think we deserve it.

That is because they are ignorant. Many people that are into car audio do it as a hobbie, and not to just show off. What that guy is trying to do is a joke. I will leave it at that as I do not want to go to sleep being upset :D.

Hey, that's right...you are the one who bought those Carver monoblocks a while back, no? Man, they were a great deal! If they're on an 8ohm load, that means they're putting out about 1800watts, right?`

But this is a law that i'm for, plain and simple. It may not be perfect, but it's a start.

Yeah... it's what it's the start of that has me worried.

This is the absolutely dumbest piece of legislation I've heard of in a LONG time...

EDIT: Mkay, so I'm slow to the table on this one... I'm horrified that this bill actually initially passed by a 22-4 vote. Shows that there's a LOT of out-of-touch people in positions of power (maybe that's a requirement?).

Also, in the article about the bill being pulled, there's only comment about revising the bill to include wording about "music actually playing"... but no mention of any decibel level. So theoretically a blue hair could get pulled over for driving too slowly, the officer could overhear Barely Manenough on the car's audio system at 40 decibels, but since the manufacturer built in a 14-speaker audio system, the car could be impounded. After all "music was playing"...

    Dumb-dumb-dumb DUMB...

when legislation like this gets tabled and sent back for review, it almost always dies.

    so i'd say we're safe...

i still may go forward with www.craigschmidsucks.com

Just caught the local news on KTVI channel 2 here in Saint Louis and it looks like a modified bill passed today. I caught part of it but any audio system that is audible within 75' can have the driver ticketed. I didn't hear anything about impounding vehicles like what was in the original bill but they did say this modified bill was in response to how some new vehicles are equipped.
