I think it's safe to say that this thread isn't about the movie any more......anyone wanting to review it should probably do another thread and put REVIEW in the title......just a thought.

I don't personally hold Club Polk responsible for the ****/straight issues of the world....I think/hope you know this.

Everytime I see you type 'desensitize' I shake my head......I think a more correct word is educate (not meant to be insulting) but the general consensus I think is that not a lot of straight people know where **** people are coming from......

Oh now im the bad guy bizill? I get jumped on by demi nuts and i respond with complete anger and im wrong... Oh well, I said what i wanted to say.. I'm not a homophobe, you guys have to deal with yourselves not me... I don't really care what people on a forum think of me much less the jerkoff's who have an agenda.. I will say and do as i please and respond at will, until justin or someone from polk says not to.. Until then just like everyone else on here i have the right to say what i want.. I don't just start **** until someone says something. I posted what i thought was a good post and then ol demi starts in with the garbage and i responded accordingly. Oh well i didn't say you had to like me, my personality or my ways/views because i am not here for you nor anyone else. I'm here to learn, blow off steam, trade gear and have fun when possible.. I didnt need to read 10 pages to know what the general theme of the thread was.. I already posted very early on so i didn't just happen on the thread.. I don't care for BRETT that much so it wasnt to brown nose.. However i see someone who needs support weather they ask or need it besides the point and i offer it.. simple as that.. don't like it? sorry... don't like me, Tough... I have no problems naming names of who i like and don't like.. Ive done it before and unlike 70-80% of the people on this forum, I do speak up with no regrets.. Like it or lump it im not leaving and we all got used to Russman doing it, Now yall can deal with me and who ever else decides to be heard..

Can ya understand that demi ol boy..

    Just my 2 cents:

I have an interesting perspective because I grew up in Texas and now live in Alaska. I think we all know or can imagine how well "loved" **** people are in Texas. Not the most welcoming state in the union. Now, after having lived up in Alaska for the last 17 years, I can honestly say that this is one of the most "live and let live" places I've ever been, even though Alaskans voted to not allow **** marriage this past year. I dont think that reflects a general negative opinion about **** folks, just a desire to keep the definition of marriage as one between a man and woman. At the same time, state employees can have their **** partners covered under their medical/dental insurance and the two big cities up here (Anchorage and Fairbanks) have a very active and open **** community. Thats not to say that there arent any intolerant jerks up here, but they are usually shouted down by the majority. One of the reasons I love Alaska other than the amazing natural beauty we have, is the "do as you please" ideal that is held so dearly up here. I can't imagine having to live anywhere else. I think other states could learn from our example (starting with Texas!).....

I know/assume you do not hold club polk responsible, I was trying to take the "you" from your post and make it something other than "Skynut" or "You" heterosexuals.
I really should leave this alone, but why hasn't the whold judge/jury point soaked in yet? You don't agree with my being ****, but that doesn't allow you to mandate what rights/benefits I enjoy as a fellow tax paying American citizen.

I'm not asking for your moral stance because as I mentioned before, my morals are not up for your judgement, as yours are not judged by me (or 99.9% of the **** population for that matter). The same cannot be said for a very large part of the straight population.

And perhaps desensitize was/is the wrong word. Too brash. In the context I was using it in I would say that educate could be substituted. However, I take it that you can see where the term and its relevance are comming from.
The more educated the people are the more accepting they will be.

I personally am a long way from the person I was 20 years ago when this topic would come up. Back then I might have been thrown from this site for not being pollitically correct.

Now I am older and able to listen, draw my own opnions, and make my own arguments. (they may not be good ones but they are mine) Some of this change is from "education". Listening to someone who is affected and hearing their point of view has taken some of the edge off the subject. It has "desensitized" me to the subject. (for a lack of a better word :D )

I am on another board where this topic came up, there is no-one defending the movie or **** rights and it turned into a ****-bash. If anyone had stood up on the other side it may have gone the way this one did. Good or bad.

    Oh and no insult taken.

not really, i just didn't care for your post #287. i assume you included me in that first and second sentence. if not, my mistake and i apologize. if you did mean to include me then no, i don't care for you. as far as helping brett and db, that is good. but don't make snide comments the likes of which are directed toward me. i too, can defend myself.

it now seems i've had to take on the role of the defense. funny thing is, i am not being attacked by the 'opposition'. funny how this works.

I didn't see what was light hearted about the comment.

You need to realize that half the crap you get personally on this forum is a result of what comes out of your mouth. Did you bother to even think about what you were saying before you hastily just slapped it all together? Did you bother to see if it even made any sense or did you just want to swear and act like a fool? Flailing around like a child with your arms in their air screaming victim at the top of your lungs is no way to earn any respect or friends.

Instead of yelling about agenda this, and homophobe that...try and put together a coherent argument sometime that can actually be responded to. It's fine, though, just keep screaming like a little kid and calling names. It nulifies your argument instantly and just makes things so amusingly easy to refute.

Bizill, those are some of the things that are being sought, but it's only an optional thing in certain places, and with certain companies.

What would be ideal is that rights/benefits be given so we don't feel like second class citizens (regardless of the majority's religious stance). I don't have a problem with the church that y'all go to, but those beliefs aren't to rule my life as I'm not seeking to be a member of that belief system. With the intended seperation of church/state I don't belief that it should be mandated that someone elses beliefs be the deciding factor in which benefits I do or do not qualify for in this country.

wonder how many years it'll take before you all are allowed to have what is sought after. i believe that whether i personally am against it or not,the marriage will be legalized inevitably. but will it happen in your lifetime? i actually think it may happen within 5-10 years. but we'll see...

i would also appreciate your thoughts on this...what if all of marriage's rights were given, but called something different? a '**** union' of sorts. do you think that homosexuals will stop at that, or argue for it to be legally deemed 'marriage'? i am curious. i am not expecting you to be the homosexual community's spokesperson, but just your honest opinion will be appreciated as well as anyone else's who is homosexual.

Ah lets see, my last post i was gonna have a few beers.. and be done here.
    Lets check the list,

    1. few beers drank- Check
    2. being done with this thread - not check :D

Demi, Get bent... i'm not even going to read your horse ****..

Who freakin cares if **** get married? Like we straights own the word marriage!! doesnt effect my 12+ year commitment and being married.
Like we need to keep things suppressed like its the 50's..

we had a **** cop locally get shot and killed a few years ago and her life partner couldnt get any benifits because they were ****.. couldnt get her partners benifits even though they were together for years and of course couldnt get married. Now that i can understand, its terrible.. let them have what ever rights everyone else has, I'm not out protesting it but i feel for em for sure... people like demi and the like seem and act like they care but don't stop for a minute and think they do, in a minute he would be down signing the ballet if it ever interupted his political views and agenda's....

Let me make this clear, I have no problem with anyone here except demi... so no one get all bent out of shape thinking im reffering to you.. Bizill included.. its not your fight... its me and jerkoff :D

People.......I appreciate the comments, but (regardless of the history) keep your personal issues with people out of this thread.....(that can go for direct and indirectly intended recipients). I'll be irked if this gets shut down because people got their panties in a wad after all that's been discussed.
    More later,
