am also a bit above playing goon for anyone here. It's really not worth it.

    Really?

I'll give a unopened but dented can of tuna fish to the first person to identify the author of the following quotes:
Last time someone did that, I knocked teeth down throats.
It's degrading and demeaning and I fully support anyone who retaliates in any form when attacked and abused like that. The last person who did that to my face had to visit the dentis the next day for bridgework.

Hey Troy, how come you have all these balls on the internet forums but you won't come near me or even look me in the eye in person? Hell, that goes the same for alot of people here who talk a good game but lack the intestinal fortitude to back it up in person. What gives? You have open season on me in person and everyone chickens out and rather would just ignore the situation without even as much as a "f@#! you" flung my way. Get back to the forums and it's BS post after BS post hounding me about one thing or another and expounding upon one person's disdain for me after another.

I'm not playing goon for anyone here because it has been made obvious that I retain no friend here so fight your own damn battles and leave me out of it. I'll play goon for myself, friends and family and I'm willing and able to back it up if pushed to that point. I'm not going to go picking fights or looking for trouble but if it's brought to me and started, I'll finish it.

Hey Troy, how come you have all these balls on the internet forums but you won't come near me or even look me in the eye in person?

Simple, because I take a morbid pleasure in seeing you get all wound up, John. Plain and simple. You are solid gold entertainment for FREE. All you need is an organ grinder. Fact is, a couple years ago, I thought that we had buried the hatchet, in fact had planned to meet up with you and George on a trip to Jersey (that didn't pan out)....but, you know, things deteriorated again so, wtf, might as well enjoy it for what it is.

Again, I spelled it out in a previous post, I saw no reason to cause a potential scene at Polk. Why ruin my day or yours? As far as fighting and tough guy stuff and all that jazz, I'm WAY past that, but if it makes you feel better about yourself...you have fun. Also, my dad always warned me about mixing it up with short people, an overhand left to the ball bag is PAINFUL!

I don't even know why things went that way. I have never heard of a decent reason other than misintepretations on both sides.

The real kicker is that I don't even bother with you until you start in on me. Each time, you take something completely out of context and start railing on me and it doesn't stop, ever. I try to avoid it all but you keep following me around like a yapping dog.

jdhdiggs, the only reason I am more vocal online is because I'm not bothered in person. I am only harrassed online. Hell, even you were talking a good game online and from the way you were posting, I was expecting to be met by a 7 foot tall, angry power-lifter ready to pull my spleen out through my throat. All I met was a timid guy, no different than me. I have no reason to act like an **** if no one is acting like an **** towards me. All the people who have spoken to me in person were pleasant and respectful and I had no reason at all to be anything but plesant and respectful to those around me too. When I come back to the forums though, boy, it's open season on Jstas again and everybody gets a shot of courage in thier arms, overnight.

actually, all parties were quiet the Polk HQ, which was probably for the best.

John, I met you at person at George's and thought you were a pretty cool guy. I allway miss the excitement here so I knew of no previous issues. Gave you a head nod at Polk HQ, figuring we'd talk at Mark's, but you werent there.

you do come off a little "angry" on the board. cant hold it against you, hey...its a jersey thing!

of course, Troy will allways be cool in my book. so all I can do is take James' route and sit back and watch the show :)

John, did YOU approach anyone? Did YOU try and put everything behind you?

Timid? Yup, that's right, I didn't go out of my way to talk to all kinds of people I've never met. Once again, as usual, you are wrong. It is as if you do have a massive inferiority complex. You have to be the smartest, you have to be the best, you have to be the toughest, you have to have the coolest job, you have to be the most knowledgeable, and most of all, you seem to have to be right. Guess what, you are none of those. Not even close... Know what else? Neither is Troy, Jesse, Brett, Russ, myself, or anyone else on the forum. Calm down and you'd be fine.

You expected me to be Mac's size? Since when? After all, your the one holding up 500lb tranny's with one hand...

Anxiously awaiting for the 5,000 word response Yawn...

Sorry Lou, I had to respond and trying to remain relatively neutral to what needs to be said. Back to watching the cartoon...

Ok, for those that are interested....here is where it all started between Jstas and I:

On my part, it's John's complete lack of ability to take himself lightly. It's hysterical. That's where we ALWAYS run into conflict. Me? I NEVER take myself seriously. I don't mind being the brunt of a joke. So there you go...

Wow, never once did I say I had to have any of that. I am proud of my job, I am proud of the stuff I have and I do think my job is cool. Do I think it's the coolest? No. I do have fun at my job and I enjoy it and that is more than I can say for many other people. If my enthusiasm about my job is offensive then I don't know what to tell you. I never said I had to be the toughest nor have I ever tried to act that way. I have strong feelings about certain things and I am passionate about certain thing also. What are they? Lotsa stuff but I'm not going to sit here and run down a laundry list, that's not the point. I don't even know how to guage how I have to be the "smartest", "the best" or "the most knowledgable". If I know something or have experience with something and have the chance to share it with someone else and help them gain the knowledge, I will. I like to help people but sometimes helping people means correcting them when they are incorrect.

I have no idea where you are getting this inferiority complex deal from. I'm comfortable with who I am. It seems that no one else is comfortable with who I am. How am I supposed to approach that? How am I supposed to fix that? I can't fix anyone else. I do my best to saty away from people who don't care for my prescence and all I get is **** about having a chip on my shoulder or having an inferiority complex.

Remember the big tadoo about how much everyone can lift? They were talking about power lifting and I do believe it stemmed from a post that you made about a power lifting record. Someone mentioned that they thought that less than 5% or some other silly number of teh overall population was capable of lifting anywhere near 200 pounds. All I did was say that I thought that number was kinda low and gave reasoning behind it. All of a sudden, Jstas is mean Internet man again. Then you started railing on me about how much I didn't know and how I shouldn't be talking about it and so on and so forth. Then I mentioned that while working on cars, I had, on numerous occasions, lifted a transmission into place. Those transmisisons, depending on the size and kind, can weigh anywhere from 60-250 pounds. I never said I was some kind of crazy power lifter nor did I ever say that it was easy to lift 200 pounds for me. All I said was that I could do it. Of course, you and many others told me I was full of **** yet all you had to go on was one goofy picture. Judging by the way you were speaking and the depth of the knowledge you had on the subject, I figured you were an active participant in the sport. So that is where I got the idea that you would be a massive hunk of human flesh ready to tear my head off and spit down my neck.

And lastly, yes, I did approach many people. I talked to quite a few people, especially those in my group. I also was interested in meeting the Polk Audio people and I approached 9 employees that I recognized from the boards and other interactions. I could have said I was not coming and stayed home and the only reason I would have had to do so was because of the dislike for me on the boards. In fact, I was ready to do that because I felt it would be awkward and get in the way of having fun for not only me but everyone else. If I was going to be a problem by just showing up and ruining it, I'd much rather stay home and miss out than be the cause of the problems. The ONLY reason I let go of those thoughts was because doro basically told me that I was being a little **** if I was going to let that stop me and that if I was going to let it stop then I was going to lose his respect for me and that bothered me. So I showed up and was happy to see a few faces and meet the Polk people.

BTW, that was only 751 words. A far cry from "5,000"

Stas, I didn't approach you at all because it would be ridiculous for me to even think about playing nice with you in person when in fact there's little that I like about you (from what you've shown me/the forum). To think that anyone should, or would, approach you and start a fight at the Fest to show you they dislike you as much in person as on the boards is moronic.....
