Great job. One day there will be a set of Shorty 1.2 TL's with 1-piece faceplates in that same fashion. I'm a fan.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

The cabinets look really narrow (depth). Did you do calculations for frequency response of the box and PR? Where's the bracing? Just wondering.

Yes the calculations has been done. With ”exact” spare room for filters. If bracing is needed, i Will add some later.
The plan right now is to use them as a 2.1 system, paired with a 8-10’ sub.

If it is a few mils thick butyl rubber, it will help with cabinet vibes/resonance.
You will probably have to brace a few spots in the middle line to really mitigate cabinet vibes just like the original 1.2'sDon't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
A few mils??? You need to look closer. Heck, he even stated, one inch.Political Correctness'.........defined

Unless my eyes are painted on, it desn't look like 1"to me,correct me if I'm wrong ,the comment stated ,1 layer of butyl rubber.

You are correct, 1 layer. Still a lot thicker than a few mils.Political Correctness'.........defined

So basically Dynamat without the aluminum skin. Just as reflective of airborne sound waves as MDF (probably more) but will help dampen cabinet resonances some.George / NJ

No. In this case you are wrong. My friend made a pair of JBL minis, where i 3D printed a bunch of parts to him. I heard these speakers with and without this 3mm butyl sheets. It made very much difference, in a really good way.
