All righty. Ohm Fs were/are peculiar.
Stacked Ohm Fs are off the chart.

There was talk a few years back that manufacturers were coming out with a new laser LP player. It was supposed to be the bee's knee's. Haven't heard a peep about it ever since.

"I wonder if it would read the pops as pops"
Yes, that was the problem, it didn't get rid of tics and pops any better than a conventional turntable. The only benefit was there wasn't any physical contact with the record grooves. Plus it was expensive for the time. I think in the future records will be scanned either with a miniature radar or other mapping scheme as a landscape terrain is done now on a larger scale. Take an electron microscope and combine it with a way to read the "valleys" of the groove and ignore any pits or surface mars. -

Good example of curable functional obsolescence. Remove it.
I'm sure in the late 50's early 60's this was a top of the line unit.
I've seen a few of the top two pieces. I've never seen a Nutone turntable.Post edited by aprazer402 on -

Kenny Rogers, right?
In seriousness -- naah, the dump was all about building relationships. The dumpster diving was just the icing on the cake.
It was (is) the social and political hub of the town. Campaigning for town elected positions always involves a few Sadurday mornings at the dump.
