You're not alone. I changed my password by saying I forgot it. Email worked in my case.

@DSkip what are your impressions? DM if you can’t post.

Also my account getting changed by an administrator and needing to reset my password and the password reset not working looks very suspicious.

Same happened to me, forced password change.

Wow this is so weird, I used an alternate email and I was able to reset my password. It brought up an account I registered back in 2010...I was not getting any e-mail for the password reset of the main e-mail I was using. I tried 5 times no e-mail so maybe I was not using the correct one.

So I know the password reset is pretty quick.

Yikes so now I have 3 accounts. Let me delete mpitogo2...

I got that as well, I'm wondering why an administrator felt the need to change stuff?

So I’m getting reports from the NYAS. The issues I was experiencing here that the rep told me was by design are being reported by others. This is from two sources.

Well the plot thickens. I'm disappointed the rep was not there for us to talk to. I for one would have been interested in hearing his take on them and ask questions on the design.

It's the "Legend L800 RC Brown" with RC meaning right channel. It should be made more obvious because someone pulling boxes out of the warehouse and tossing them on the delivery truck won't know the difference unless they're trained.

Hope someone else didn't get two lefts.

Sorry to hear that and hope you get it resolved soon. I am sure it is very frustrating.

I agree the boxes should be marked better. Quality control should also be improved. Someone should have checked to make sure a L and R pair were being sent before they were shipped.

    Seriously? Just accept it already.

Why does it bother you so much that I (and others) are lookin for possible reasons for the L800’s to have had performance issues rather than accept your proclamation of them being six thousand dollar piles of horseshit?

No Skip, I am absolutely NOT looking to blame you. I am simply trying to figure out how a team of dedicated engineers led by a guy who was there from the beginning could not hear what you guys are describing and solve it before launching a six thousand dollar pair of speakers. Either collectively, they have hearing deficiencies or something else is going on.

I am looking at the latter because in my mind I find it hard to believe people who design speakers for a living would miss this and then try to pass it off as being acceptable.

There seems to be some confusion about the labeling even on Polk's product page for the L800. Scroll down to see the back panel here...

    https://www.polkaudio.com/products/l800

...and the speaker panel is stamped "Left" but the code says L800 RC for right channel.

The product images up top on the page correctly show the back panel label as "Left" speaker and the code L800 LC.

Funny stuff, unless one buys a pair that's wired wrong internally or delivered wrong.
